The Hollywood Actor Lab has transitioned acting classes to online zoom sessions. We've found the most productive use of the platform and time is to have partnered classes of 2 actors in sessions just over an hour each week. As such, there are only a few more available weekly time slots we can offer. We keep it intimate, focused, and efficiently timed. Zoom overload is real these days and we don't want a lot of participants for several hours. We keep each hour tightly built for you. ⏳🎭👨💻👩💻
Our approach to the work is welcoming of all levels and previous technical training. Director James Huang has been acting and filmmaking for over 25 years and brings a wealth of knowledge to the classroom from a teaching perspective that includes the entire scope of actor training as well as a filmmaker's perspective and guidance. Class includes everything from scene study assignments, to auditon prep, theater games and exercises, script analysis to the practice of being directed for the camera with multiple takes. Actors work each class.

The loss of face to face socializing this week can be stressful in ways we don't even realize. The fact that people are still going to parties and bars and beaches proves our need to be part of a community and interact. But we must be smart and we must find alternatives while staying home. Having a video chat with people can be a simple therapeutic way to get away from the isolation of reading headlines and negative social media.
Elizabeth and James have just created The Hollywood Actor Lab as a place for artists and actors to thrive. We're here to have regular day-to-day social interaction with actors who want to chat and meet new people for the sake of enriching our artistic ventures and keeping our sanity during these times.
