Big news today!
1) I had Radioworld order in my first new radio, an Icom IC-7100!
2) I activated my first park for POTA (Parks On The Air), Mono Cliffs Provincial Park, VE-0308!

Yesterday was an awesome day! Here's just some of what happened:
- 2m antenna complete, all connections soldered and a hot glue seal put over everything
- crimps put on Kenwood power cables and connected to battery (no solder)
- ground strap between Kenwood and tuner (probably redundant, no solder)
- powered on and tested Kenwood into dummy load, on battery supply, with Arduino monitoring voltage
- made a throw line out of an old hockey puck and old rope
- got the 2m ground plane into a tree but took it down
- got the HF setup connected to my random wire but couldn't get a tune. I'll use the smith chart on the NanoVNA today.
- got the Amazon order in with my wattmeter, multimeter, and NanoVNA!
- got the NanoVNA set up!
- used the NanoVNA to check and trim the 2m ground plane. I ended with a 1.07:1 SWR
I'm sure I missed something. But it was an awesome day!

Many thanks to Craig, VE3OP, for gifting this equipment to me! I will be sure to pass on a similar favour in the future!
Also a big shoutout to Joseph Haddad and Anthony Nassif for helping me out by delivering it!
