Working in charity and talking to a group end of life care pateince, who sadly only have a few months to live, I thought I would share my view, and my non biased opinion on there thoughts .... This is what I learned....
Firstly be grateful for what you have. Sometimes even if it doesn't seem a lot. Let me tell you, when people are on there death beds.. they don't regret the money they earned or the expensive cars they drove and yes the luxury holidays they travelled on...
A multi million are told me... he would have swapped it all... for more time with his family...
Most just wished for more time with their loved ones ... Joy is NOT a material thing.. even though the media tells us so....
and yes...I agree, its nice to have nice things......It makes us happy for a moment but its about hugging your mom, your dad, your sister, your brother, and especially your children... but whoever you love.........that's what life's about.
I think over time... we have lost the true meaning of why we are here. It's mainly because of commercial sales and one upmanship over your neighbour... its all competitive now....
But the one thing we are all guaranteed is ....when we are all born....... we're all gonna die....so make the most of your loved ones NOW.... cos another thing we know.....time never stops ticking.
Either you say goodbye to them or they do to you...Realise it now...Your only time on earth with your love ones is NOW and should mean the most.... so can I ask everyone who reads this.... just go and give a hug, kiss to someone you care about.... and say one sentence.
"I LOVE YOU I DO"
