Readyville got hit hard his evening. Probable tornado. Multiple roads blocked with trees.

Stay weather alert tomorrow!

A high wind warning is valid 6am to 6pm. Winds steady at 30-40 mph with gusts 50 to 60 plus. This is strong tropical storm force wind territory I heard it likened to holding your head out of the car while you are cruising down the road at highway speed. these winds are not caused by storms themselves and will be happening all day - 6am to 6pm.

Add to that the strong possibility of tornadoes, high winds and heavy rain with storms that form during the day.

Be safe out there and charge your phones this evening.

A couple of strong storms with gusty winds over 40 mph may occur Sunday across the northwest counties of Middle Tennessee. There is a risk for strong to severe thunderstorms across the area on overnight Sunday into early Monday morning. Damaging wind gusts are the most likely hazard but a tornado or two cannot be ruled out.

16/01/2022

Winter Storm Warning continues until this evening. NWS Nashville still confident in change over to snow later into the day.

14/01/2022

Very interesting weather this weekend. Just know this...winter weather is likely. Things are pointing to something big. Where that "big" happens - God only knows at this point. Get things that need to be done finished before Saturday night. We should have a bit better handle on things tomorrow.

06/01/2022

Strong winter system blowing in tomorrow. If I were you, hope for big snow. The alternative could be what we got last February. Regardless, be careful if you have to be out and about tomorrow. Temps are not supposed to get above freezing until Saturday. Road condition wil go downhill fast when things start. Keep that water dripping in those pipes!

SPC in Norman, OK released this mesoscale discussion a bit ago...

02/01/2022

After yesterday’s warm weather you would be shocked to know what this evening into early morning has in store for us. The NWS in Nashville is forecasting 1-3 inches of snow for our area. An upper level low is forecasted to go just to our south this evening. Warm ground temperatures should keep the accumulations mostly on grassy and elevated surfaces. Even so, roads could get covered later into the night.

02/01/2022

It appears the worst of the storms are to our south and east. The storms from earlier in the day appears to have sent a boundary down through our area. This cooled the atmosphere enough to keep the worst of weather to our south. It was VERY close to being a very bad situation. An example of how much difference being on one side or the other was this. A few hours ago the temp was 74F in Wi******er and 58F in Shelbyville.

01/01/2022

Tornado Watch valid for our area until 7pm central time.

01/01/2022

Tornado Watch just issued by the SPC in Norman Oklahoma for areas just to our west.

01/01/2022

Potentially dangerous severe weather is likely today. All storm modes (tornadoes, high winds, dangerous lightning, large hail and flooding) are possible. Keep an eye on the weather today everyone!

31/12/2021

The SPC has updated. The enhanced risk and tornado threat has moved further north and east, extending the tornado threat into southern Kentucky. An area that was hit on December 10/11th. I can see them adding a moderate risk in this sometime overnight. This is for Saturday. -Jason

28/12/2021

Good afternoon everyone. I hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas and time with family. Now it is time to get back into severe weather mode. As some of you may have seen, we are expecting two rounds of severe storms this week. The first one will be for Wednesday, and the second one will be for Saturday. First, we are going to discuss the threat for severe weather for Wednesday.

All modes of severe weather are possible for Wednesday. The primary threats are going to be damaging winds and the possibility of tornadoes cannot be ruled out. The other threats will include flooding, as there will be moderate rainfall with these storms.

I have a feeling that the SPC is going to update, to include an ENHANCED risk, for areas primarily east of I-65 and south of I-40. This looks to be a midday event, through the evening, so please stay weather aware!

Hello everyone. I have been out of pocket for a bit, but I'm back. So who is ready for fall? This coming Wednesday is our first official day of fall, and in perfect timing, a cold front is approaching, that will give us a big feel of fall weather. I am seeing highs for Thursday and Friday in the low 70s and lows around 50. Time to break out those light jackets. -Jason

29/08/2021

You will be hard pressed to ever see a more well formed symmetrical tropical system as this. Thoughts and prayers for those affected.

29/08/2021

Heavy rains likely early this week from the remnants of Hurricane Ida. Tornado's are possible east of the main circulation.

21/08/2021

I hope everyone is staying safe in the rain. Folks back around Dickson and Waverly are not having it easy at all. Almost a foot of rain has fallen on them. Many water rescues are taking place at this moment. If you pray, please pray for safety of all. -Jason

Interesting rotation on radar as the storms went through a few days ago. No warnings or damage was reported as far as I can tell.
