Biggest plot twist of 2024 is me becoming a pc gamer! 😂

That’s right, no controllers here, only WASD and a mouse (among a few other keys). Definitely a huge learning curve coming from someone who has spent 20+ years exclusively playing handheld, but also extremely worth it as well because how can I not love playing on the PC when it makes the games look extremely good? (Astarion on a big screen is definitely not making me biased, no.)

Okay, okay maybe I AM a little biased (Tiktok editors who made thirst traps of Astarion, i’m looking at you) but I also really wanted to play BG3 because for the longest time, i’ve always wanted to start a DND campaign and BG3 was the perfect way for me to dip my toes in. So, in spite of the countless Critical Failures (am I really that unlucky???), party wipeouts, ~accidental~ deaths and a few wrong dialogue picks, i’ve been loving my playthrough so far that i’m already thinking of starting another even though I haven’t left Act 1 just yet.

I can’t wait to see what other things I can do while exploring and playing this game (and also romance Astarion because I definitely DEFINITELY did not play this because of him 👀)

Rin added a new Item to her Inventory! ✨

I’ve always wanted to start a small collection of pink consoles, and a pink 2DS is a pretty nice entry point to another sinkhole for my wallet LOL. (Thank you for the gift, though I think I might have dug a hole for myself for accepting this one, too.)

Of course, in true Rin fashion, I just had to decorate it with stickers and a dangly charm (the sonny angel bunny hipper has long since made its way towards the back of my 2DS)

Now what’s next, a pink PS vita, maybe? 👀

Rin’s Gaming Wrapped for 2023 ✨

I know, I know, I know, we’re nearly 4 months into the new year and i’m still going to talk about my 2023 gaming recap. But hey, life happens when it happens and sometimes things have to go on the backburner for a bit. But anyway, I’ve since made progress on a few of my never-ending backlogs and I’ve added new games to my backlog as well (tis a never-ending cycle, I fear).

Here’s a little overview:

1. Finally finished Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
2. Picked up a copy of Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (now how long will it take for me to finish this, I don’t know)
3. Picked up Splatoon 3
4. Finished the ~main~ storyline of Pokemon Violet
5. Picked up my absolute favorite game, P3P for the NSwitch

Highlights, for reasons that I do not want to spend all of my time explaining every single bit of gaming-related activity I did for the year. Although I will go off on a tangent on the pictures themselves so if you want to read some more, click on the pics ✨

2023 was a fun year for gaming, and seeing what I’ve been doing now this year, the next time I post a recap would be even more fun. 👀

After having my copy of Fire Emblem: Three Houses for so long, I finally finished my Blue Lion’s route (because I am Dimitri trash)! Surprisingly, what turned me off about the game (tactics-based gameplay) is what I really enjoyed about it in the end lol took me only about 3 tries before the game actually stuck to me lol.

I pre-farmed Kazuha’s ascension materials and his vv set way back in the GAA patch and i’ve been patiently waiting for his rerun ever since because I didn’t get him on his first banner lol. Hoping I win my 50/50 this time around. 🙏🏼💖

((My Lumine is already built for anemo/geo/electro so I just used her character as a placeholder for Kazuha’s stuff 🤣 In the same note, my Lisa is also holding on to Heizou’s stuff at the moment.))
