The day love arrived
Love arrived when I least expect it to arrive. It arrived when I was a broken mess, on the day when I was wearing my baggy clothes and my hair was in a messy bun. It didnât come with a knock on the door, it arrived without a notice, it crept in through the small hole from the window. I expected it to wear shiny shoes but it came in wearing dirty clothes and with a broken heart. I expected it to bring presents but it came with the baggage of its own. It didnât pull the rug under my feet and made me fall for him rather it covered me with a warm blanket as I was bone cold. And slowly it made my home his home. It didnât surprise me with chocolate and flower but would always bring me tea after a hectic day. It didnât dance with me in the rain but would make sure to hold me tight on a thundery night. It didnât shower me with compliments but it always holds my hair back when I am sick. It brought warmth with him and filled my heart with the same but it had his days. Days when it didnât call me when it was supposed to or when it wouldnât understand me. When his broken heart, his insecurities, his anger was too much for me to handle. Days when my smile didnât bring the smile on his face and my words failed to reach him. We did have fights, the one where there was no trace of love. The one in which all we wanted was to win and didnât think twice before hurting one another. Then the day when all I wanted was it to leave, it stayed. It loved me when I was not even loveable. For him my scars didnât matter, his love didnât decrease with the time. It didnât leave me with shattered dreams but it made me stronger. It was nothing as I have expected but it was everything I needed. It was everything I was looking when I wasnât even looking.
