FYI: You know that tiny little one inch print out they give you at the KIOSK for parking at Pier Marquette? Well - they don't have a way of looking it up and will give you a $30 ticket every time you try to park. Apparently you HAVE to go get the sticker and put it in your windshield. Even if you go downtown to prove that you have a season pass- they won't forgive your tickets.

Howmet Aerospace in Whitehall, MI is the largest employer along the lakeshore. Some would say they set the bar for what a 'living wage' is in the Muskegon and Whitehall areas. Word has it that their union members are NOT happy with the current contract renewal. They are voting this week. If you know anyone who works there - encourage them to vote NO. Muskegon and Whitehall workers deserve to make a living wage and sometimes the leaders in the workforce have to step into their power and STRIKE!
