The Second Life fashion community received unfortunate news on new year, when Slink creator Siddean Munroe announced she was closing down her line of avatar mesh bodies and enhancements, due to real life reasons. The loss of loved ones and unfortunate health conditions, combined with a lack of "energy to pour into" the business, has forced Sidean to decide to move from Second Life in favour of her "own physical and mental wellbeing". In an interview with New World Notes, Siddean has pointed out she does not intend to sell Slink and the assets will continue to be her intellectual property.
