The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is planning to launch the Aditya L1 mission on 2-September, which aims to study the Sun's corona and its magnetic field. Aditya L1 will be India's first solar mission and is scheduled to be launched in Sept- 2023.

Covid-19 cases are fast growing in the country. During the last 24 hours, more than 5,000 new infections have been reported, taking the total tally to 4,31,90,282. This is a 41% increase from previous day. The Union Health Ministry said on Wednesday that seven people have died due to the virus. Meanwhile, 3,345 people have been discharged from the hospitals.

In a remarkable achievement, early trials of a drug to treat re**al cancer led to remission in every participant. The trial was small, with just 12 patients, however, patients and doctors are stunned after seeing the results. During the trial, which was conducted in the US, patients took the drug dostarlimab for six months. After the set period, scans of the participants came back completely clear and there was no identifiable cancer. The study is published on Sunday (June 6) in the New England Journal of Medicine. The study is backed by drug maker GlaxoSmithKline.

Athletes and coaches at Delhi government-run Thyagraj Stadium complained about being forced to wrap training by 7 pm and empty stadium so that Delhi’s Principal Secretary (Revenue) Sanjeev Khirwar can walk his dog. "We used to train till 8-8.30 pm...earlier...Now, our training...routine has been disrupted," a coach said. Khirwar, a 1994-batch IAS officer, described the allegation as "incorrect".

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate India’s biggest drone festival, The Bharat Drone Festival 2022 at Pragati Maidan on Friday.
The two-day event will be held on May 27 and 28. At the drone exhibition center, the PM will interact with the Kisan drone pilots and startups, and, witness an open-air drone demonstration.
The Prime Minister’s Office said, “Over 1600 delegates comprising government officials, foreign diplomats, armed forces, central armed police forces, PSUs, private companies and drone startups etc. will participate in the Mahotsav. More than 70 exhibitors will display various use cases of drones at the exhibition.”
The biggest drone festival will stand witness to a virtual award of drone pilot certificates, flying demonstrations, panel discussions, and product launches. Among other events, there will be a display of a Made In India Taxi prototype as well.

The Department of Consumer Affairs on Monday cautioned restaurants that are forcefully making customers pay 'service charges', the government said. It stated that service charge is voluntary and at the discretion of consumers. This comes after a Hyderabad restaurant was fined for forcing a customer to pay service charge.

Gyanvapi Masjid-Kashi Vishwanath Dispute hearing in Supreme Court: The Supreme Court will shortly will hear the plea against Allahabad High Court’s order that cleared the way for Advocate Commissioner surveying the Gyanvapi Masjid premises. Earlier the survey team completed its videography work on Monday, findings of which will be submitted in the lower court in a sealed envelop. The Supreme Court bench of Justices D Y Chandrachud and P S Narasimha would be hearing the plea of the Committee of Management Anjuman Intezamia Masjid, which manages the affairs of Gyanvapi mosque in Varanasi.
