Earlier this year, I was blessed to be cast as the leading lady in directorial debut: One of The Guys.

As this was my first film leading an ensemble, I was pretty nervous but truthfully I am not sure how this experience could've been designed in any better way.

Our cast was BLICKKKITTTYYY BLACK, mmk; and our entire CREW was comprised of POC artists. Our Director was more than a Woman Director. She's a beautiful, proud, afro-wearing, fellow aaliyah aficionado and honestly one hell of a creative visionary empress of a Black Woman.

This film is important on sooo many levels!! The writing is impeccable, this story is relevant, fresh and told in a unique way that I believe is really going to resonate with viewers. was not only wearing the hat of Madam Director she also wrote the
story and executive produced this entire production.

One of The Guys is a film that explores the dynamics of platonic relationships between 3 creative friends, Mel, Deshawn & Isaiah.

Making this film filled me with a spark of joy I can only access when i am acting; and I felt that spark when during my callback Lachelle told me how cool it was to
actually feel as if the character she envisioned in her head was sitting in front of her. I still carry Mel with me, she is by far my favorite role to date. As I've said before this powerful film is LaChelle's directorial debut but I also feel as if this is my film industry debut!

I truly can't wait to share this film with everyone but before that is possible, our film needs funding! gave her all and put everything she had to self-produce this
film; that intense passion and belief in oneself is undeniably motivating and why I believe EVERYONE SHOULD SUPPORT THIS FILM BY DONATING TO OUR INDIEGOGO

Before I end this, I must say that LaChelle's Leading Ladies has a wonderful ring to it & I am so grateful to be the first of what I know will be a long line of many; with
creativity, passion and vision, I just know this club is bound to grow.
