VALOUR MANOR is a larp that takes place in a modern day training academy for Superheroes in a world where having powers is highly regulated, frightening and dangerous. Inspired by The Boys and X Men, Valour Manor looks at corporate exploitation, chosen family and public relations while trying to get a licence to hold onto powers you barely control or understand.
Sign ups will remain open until the 7th JULY. It is important that you sign up since we will not be able to run this larp if we do not have enough participants expressing an interest.
If we are lucky enough to need to, we will run a lottery to allocate spaces at the larp. If you are given a space you will have the option to either pay for a ticket by the 31st JULY or make the initial payment for Reservation plans if you require a little support.
The larp will run from 1st to 4th of MAY 2025 at Ingestre Hall in Staffordshire UK. There are regular trains from London. Accommodation and meals will be provided as well as hospitality, welfare and support.
Character casting will be done later in the year and you will be asked what kind of role you want to play in this larp. The characters are kept in “Superhero Groups” of varying sizes and you will share a room with your group. You are invited to sign up with your friends for a shared experience and will be asked about this closer to the casting.

VALOUR MANOR is launching next week!!
Inspired by the Boys, X Men, Watchmen and V for Vendetta, Valour Manor is set in a British Post Graduate academy preparing people with superpowers for their Superpowered lives! The characters are all people with powers who are hoping to get a place on the legendary British Superhero team THE BRIGADE, while also making sure that they keep up with their assignments, please their sponsors, don’t make too many enemies or lose track of who they really are.
We will see who will be Superheroes and who will end up being sold as part of the UK Military Industrial complexes Superspy program. Those not good enough for either of these paths may consider a career in the Super Civil Service or maybe just end up as Super Celebrities trying to leverage their status to gain followers.
We are psyched for it and we have an amazing crew lined up. Because of the increase in venue prices this event will only go ahead if we get enough bookings. Therefore we will have a signup period before selling tickets. If you want this incredible larp to go ahead make sure to sign up next week!

Half of the spaces for Goetia are filled and the larp is looking fantastic!! We have yet to really push for tickets but people are getting so hype and excited already. We have a phenomenal lineup of Crew to work with you on this incredible larp with experienced organisers from all over the world coming to make your event truly magical.
We are aiming for an August Casting so make sure you secure your place at this unforgettable experience. With more Fallen Angels, more demons we are certain you will be able to make even more drama than the first run and we just can’t wait.

THE SMOKE CALL FOR LARPS
The Smoke Call for Larps is still open! If you have ever wanted a safe and supportive environment to try out your larp design this is the event for you. With 150 participants from all over the world, playing four 3-4 hour chamber larps over the weekend the Smoke is an event not to be missed. We invite you to bring your larp and run it at the Smoke aided by our wonderful and supportive event team.
Run out of Theatre Deli London, The Smoke will run on 3rd to 5th of January 2025.

Instalment payments for Goetia
If you have a UK paypal instalment is a service that they can provide for you, however we have discovered that this is not an option available to everyone. In order to ensure fairness and flexibility across our participants we will instead reserve a set number of spaces until 1st of July to give you as much flexibility as you need in order to pay.
This way you can pay for your ticket at a pace that works for you without worrying about adding an extra burden to us and without worrying about losing your place.
This is how reserving a space at Goetia will work.
- Write us an email at [email protected] and if there are reserved spaces free we will reserve you a ticket and put you on the attendee list.
- You will also receive the password for the reserved tickets in our shop.
- You can then pay for the ticket any time between now and 1st of July.
- If you do not pay by 1st of July the ticket will no longer be reserved for you.
Please only use this service to help facilitate payments. Do not use it to “hold a space while you decide”. There are a lot of tickets and this is something we want to offer to those who need it.

A society of occultists gather in an old Manor to perform a ritual that would allow them to be possessed by the 72 Goetic Demons and recreate the events that happened when the angels fell from heaven and found themselves in hell.

This week is all about the Smoke as the Call for Larps opens THIS FRIDAY!! If you have ever wanted to make a new larp and run it in a loving nurturing environment then this is the festival for you. This year we are expecting more larps and more attendees so make sure you get your ideas in nice and early so you don’t miss your chance to participate.
If you are unfamiliar with the Smoke, it is a weekend long festival of short chamber larps. Each larp is for 10 to 20 participants in a single room with minimal costumes and props and runs for 3-4 hours. Over the course of the weekend you get to participate in four of these larps from designers all over the world. The event takes place in London's Theatre Deli on the 3rd to the 5th of January 2025 and everyone is welcome!

The Games Kitchen
Long time larp organiser and academic Willoh Osmond has taken up the mantle of running the Games Kitchen also at Theatre Delhi! The Games Kitchen is a day where you can meet up with fellow larp enthusiasts to develop and play a short form larp in a single day. Our kind creative community supports and helps each other in bringing out the best in each other's ideas and get to see how well they did at the end of the day.
The Games Kitchen will take place in the canteen space at Theatre Deli so you will also have a chance to see the space the Smoke will be running from if you want to take your design to the festival. The Games Kitchen is a great way to make a start in designing larps, or a great way to spend the day if you just enjoy being around larpers.

London Chamber Larps
Karolina Soltys and Susanne Vejdemo have been hard at work rebuilding the London Chamber larp scene after the events of the last few years. If you are interested in finding out about local community chamber larps that take place throughout the larp, the London Chamber Larps community is reforming and you are welcome to it. We secretly hope that this will see the reforming of the Immersivists Club as a place where people can enjoy high immersion larp designs from all over the world with fellow enthusiasts.

Hey everyone! Here is what is new and coming up in the Omen Stars labs. We are excited for our new projects and can’t wait to get you all involved. Here’s a taste of what’s to come.
Salty, Salty Sea Dogs!
We are waiting to hear back from a wonderful venue in the middle of London that is perfect for one day larps. This leads us to the inevitable question, PIrates or Taverns? We have our wonderful Sea Dogs Larp, an extension of Meet at the Galleon that features actual pirates in four distinct pirate crews living, working and loving on the docks of Smugglers Island. Terry Pratchet meets Our Flag Means Death on the docks of Nasau or Libertalia.
Valour Manor
A weekend larp set in the illustrious Valour Manor Britain trains its next generation of Superheroes or at the very least Super Secret Agents. Inspired by the X Men comics and the Boys, Valour Manor is a wry take on modern Britain through the lens of larger than life British themed heroes and anti heroes. Burned out tutors, aspiring students, some trying to forge a new hero identity, some trying to rebuild what they lost. Themes of trust, betrayal, celebrity and power are explored in the larp where heroes aren’t born, they are made.
Getting closer to Goetia Dates
We are closing in on setting dates for the 2025 run of Goetia, the Night of 100 Demons. We are still soliciting feedback from y’all on dates that work best for you. Here is a form you can fill in to tell us your preferred date. There are not many dates available at the venue so we will need to move fast on this. Once again will be the grand summoning, the twilight masquerade and of course, the Banquet of Sin. It will be fantastic to see you again for the new run.

In March we will be opening the Smoke 2025 call for larps! If you have always wanted to run a chamber larp at the Smoke the forms will be released and you will get your opportunity. The Smoke is an incredible platform for you to play some great larps and have other people play your larp in a safe and supportive environment. If you want help or tips for your larp get in touch and we will do what we can to help you!
London Community
We are very busy in our local community right now reestablishing connections with our roots. For those who do not know, Omen Star works very closely with our local community in North London to make sure that opportunities are open to everyone regardless of background. We were invited to the recent steering group meeting to discuss what support we can offer local charities and community organisations and as always we are very happy to help.
Chamber, One Day and Weekend Larps
We are narrowing down our venues for TavernQuest live and for Cyberpunk in 2024 along with our usual array of Sacraments. On the subject of demons, Goetia will be returning in 2025 with more demons, more storylines and more diabolic revelry in our 1920’s horror experience. This will be joined by a new project we will be announcing at the end of the year.
This is an exciting year for us and we are pleased to have you along with us.

Goetia was amazing and we are really pleased with the crew, writers and players of this incredible larp. The idea behind Goetia has been spoken about for years and finally we had an opportunity to see this ambitious project brought to life.
The Crew were exceptional, delivering stunning performances as the Fallen Angels, delivering a bounty of sin to the infernal courts. Behind the scenes our incredible technical lead brought the venue to life with a light and soundscape that blended into the background until it was needed.
The larp culminated in an exquisite seven course banquet that continued to maintain the aesthetic and drama of the larp. With each dish providing more reasons to engage with the demonic personas and develop their infernal relations. All in the luxurious surrounds of Ingestre Hall.

Thank you for an incredible larp experience. We experienced highs, lows and everything in between as we violently contrasted curiosity and blasphemy, civility and debauchery. The participants took an incredible selection of characters on a journey to hell and back, then took them back to hell again and we loved every moment of it.

Omen Stars flagship larp Sacrament finally crossed the Atlantic for its first run in New York City at Madame X in Manhattan courtesy of Sinking Ships Creations. Fifty participants gathered for the special extended Grand Sacrament format developed specifically for New York.
Talks are under way for a return to Amsterdam, Paris and San Francisco in both the classic chamber format and the new Grand Sacrament format. Watch this space!

MÖRKVEDEN
Mörkveden was wonderful and we owe a huge thanks to all of the players and crew who took part in our Swedish Viking adventure. The rituals were amazing, the food was incredible and the drama was gripping. Your costumes and concepts really brought the village to life!
NEW YORK SACRAMENT
Hot on the heels of the success of the two Mörkveden runs, the team then made their way to New York City to run the first Grand Sacrament, an extended version of the classic Sacrament Chamber larp. more than 40 Nephilim descended upon the Madam X club to summon demons and cause trouble.
Now the team prepare for Goetia at Ingestre Hall and the Smoke in London.

☁️ The Smoke Festival was a roaring success, serving 40 larps to over 100 participants from all over the world in the heart of the London. The team will be working brining the Smoke to January 2023 next year so it can go back to its place in the calendar.
🌲 Mörkveden characters have gone out to everyone and the planning is going extremely well. The weather is looking promising and the venue is looking good. The story team are now adapting the overall story to the player groups that were defined by the participants which will make each run unique and adapted to those in attendance.
😈 Goetia writing is going strong. Our most ambitious project to date has some of the best writers in larp working around the clock on developing the project. The venue is extraordinarily beautiful, combined with a heart wrenching story and intricately crafted characters promises to be an incredible event.
💃Taking on board the Smoke has meant we have pushed Knock Three times back so that we do not burn out our crew. It will join the many new larp projects due to be announced in the 2024 roundup.
🍻 Constellation Larp continue to do an incredible job of running Tavern Quest events with Meet at the Guildhouse running online this weekend. Follow their adventures here!

🥀 ..and finally we ran the 28th Sacrament event in an old church in Bedford to mark the 120th Birthday of an Elder Nephilim!! Plans are afoot to make the Sacrament Larp less dependent on Omen Star to run. While some shenanigans made the result look uncertain, The Sacrament now stands under Avarice, Serpent and the Black Path. For those who know, the Power in Hell is Lust/Pride, Serpent/Wolf and the Black and Red Path are almost equal.

Hey everyone! Here is what is new and coming up in the Omen Stars labs. We are excited for our new projects and can’t wait to get you all involved. Here’s a taste of what’s to come. Salty, Salty Sea Dogs! We are waiting to hear back from a wonderful venue in the middle of London that is perfect for one day larps. This leads us to the inevitable question, PIrates or Taverns? We have our wonderful Sea Dogs Larp, an extension of Meet at the Galleon that features actual pirates in four distinct pirate crews living, working and loving on the docks of Smugglers Island. Terry Pratchet meets Our Flag Means Death on the docks of Nasau or Libertalia. Valour Manor A weekend larp set in the illustrious Valour Manor Britain trains its next generation of Superheroes or at the very least Super Secret Agents. Inspired by the X Men comics and the Boys, Valour Manor is a wry take on modern Britain through the lens of larger than life British themed heroes and anti heroes. Burned out tutors, aspiring students, some trying to forge a new hero identity, some trying to rebuild what they lost. Themes of trust, betrayal, celebrity and power are explored in the larp where heroes aren’t born, they are made. Getting closer to Goetia Dates We are closing in on setting dates for the 2025 run of Goetia, the Night of 100 Demons. We are still soliciting feedback from y’all on dates that work best for you. Here is a form you can fill in to tell us your preferred date. There are not many dates available at the venue so we will need to move fast on this. Once again will be the grand summoning, the twilight masquerade and of course, the Banquet of Sin. It will be fantastic to see you again for the new run.
