Heard this song after so many years and brought back wonderful childhood memories.
There used to be times (mid 80’s and late 80’s) when we used to play these songs everyday early morning at 6AM through the loud speakers.
The villagers were blessed! I still remember one of our neighbours (A person who follows Hinduism) used to call us Hossanna! Because the song “Hossanna Paduvom” was also in that regularly played list and was his favourite song.
Our old songs were purely gospel and we could play and sing anywhere and everywhere. People can easily learn, follow and sing.
But sadly today? The songs are good to listen and give us so much of emotional satisfaction and nothing more than that.
People from other religions used to know our old Tamil Christian songs word by word because they frequently listen to those songs from church, radio broadcasts and open air meetings.
Today? Tell me how many of our songs can be sung in an open air meeting? How many soul winning songs do we see these days? Where is gospel in today’s songs???
This includes me! We need to come back to our roots and should be word based than Thirukural and other poetic books!

Very Important 🛑
Never allow everyone to lay hands on your head. Be careful, not every spirit is from God.
In 1 Timothy 5:22 Paul asks Timothy not to be quick in laying hands on everyone. Because by doing so without discerning that person we may end up part-taking in their sins.
How powerful is this?
If so; its the other way around too. Do not easily give your head to everyone for them to lay their hands on. It’s very dangerous because we do not know what spirit they are filled with.
Discern every spirit.
Note: Especially young girls and women… be careful. Never allow everyone to touch you even for prayers. I have seen so many videos where pastor’s playfully touch in the name of prayers.
