"The reality of life is tough but with reality comes experience and experience comes hope. We can rejoice when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they are good for us. They help us to be patience and patience develops strength of character in us. It help us trust God more each time we use it until finally our hope and faith are strong and sturdy. (Romans 6:2-3)
Sometimes in life we must crawl before we walk, and that may consist of going through a whirlwind of disappoints, trials, hurts, and pains. It's through the whirlwind we learn of God's love and tender mercy for us. So if you are wondering where is the peace in the whirlwind, the peace is knowing that God cares and he will see us through it. Regardless, how rough that whirlwind may be or how rough it may get, through it all we will eventually have a stronger faith and trust in the almighty God.
God, sends us through the fire and through the whirlwind so that he can mold us and make us into the person he want us to be. So that we may do his bidding and be more equipped, to do his will and to learn of his ways. (I Peter 1:7)." Taken from page 12, in "A Peaceful Place in the storms: God is in Control.
