Marie Stopes International last week hosted a Media Round Table Discussion with all Lae based Rreporters,Health Workers,Business Houses,Church groups and Marie Stopes Staffs (Lae and Pom) at the Lae International Hotel starting on the 1st Febuary up until Friday the 4th finishing with a tour to the Marie Stopes Centre Clinic 3rd Street,Lae Top Town.

The main purose of the Media Round Table Discussion is to emphasise more on what Marie Stopes is doing here in Morobe as well as the entire country and also to bring forth awareness to the general public about family planning and Sexual Health targeting mainly the young audience of this country.

In an interview with Maries Stopes Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator Mr Adolf Kot,he stated the organisation was established in 2006 with over 13 centres all over the country that includes few hospitals arround the country working closely with the PHA's and the Health Team. Due to donor fundings ,they will only reach areas where they can and the other is the existing health centre they have that can cater for what Marie Stopes is doing.

Up until today Marie Stopes has over 134,000 clients in PNG with a budget of K15,000 every month from the donors to carry out its operations in urban and rural Papua New Guinea.

The four day event ended last Friday with a tour to Marie Stopes Centre Clinic located at 3rd Street,Lae Top Town.

Hi there everyone,it was an epic weekend for all of us here in Lae City,being part of the Rosso Cup Mountain Bike Race, 94.7 FM Morobe was part of the event bringing live coverage to all parts of Morobe , Highlands,part of NGI and Southern, well being part of the event, we were also happy to give out some of our t-shirts to some of the Riders from different categories with our name embroidered at the back and The Rosso Cup logo infront.Big thanks to Lae City Authority (LCA)for engaging us in the live coverage of the Event.
