Greeting Citizens!

As a general update, unfortunately due to OC reasons the Bastion Thunderer will not be present at E3 this year. We want to thank all current contributors to the issue and intend to publish their articles and entries in the following issue for E4 - which we hope will be a bumper issue to make up for our lack of presence at the upcoming event.

Thank you all for your understanding, and we'll see you all in the Autumn!

Its that time of year again. With the first Winds of Fortune appearing, The Bastion Thunderer is firing up the printing presses ready to start writing for E2!

As always we're seeking submissions from people eager to share their thoughts, feelings and opinions on matters throughout the Empire. If you submit an article you will receive a free copy of the paper!

THINGS WE'D LOVE TO HEAR ABOUT:
⭐️ "On Virtue" - our on-going series asking for priests to write thoughts and opinions regarding subjects pertaining to their specific dedicated Virtue.
⭐️ Politics - are you or a friend planning on standing for a position this year? Would you like to publish a manifesto on why you're the best person for the job?
⭐️ Heroic and dramatic feats - Pride for all! Big up your friends and comrades for their heroic displays on and off the battlefield and let more people hear about their actions
⭐️ Opinions - we love hearing what the heroes of the Empire have to say about all sorts of subject matter. Winds of War/Fortune/Magic, and everything else in-between. You want people to hear your thoughts? Time to let the Empire know!

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
- There is no minimum requirement for articles, though we ask for the maximum to be no more than 800 words in length (a little over is fine!)
- Include your name, group, nation, and if possible, a headshot of your character
- Submit the article either to our page, or our Discord ( https://discord.gg/3QXnEtEMsn )

Additional things we're searching for:
⭐️ War reporters - we're searching for more willing participants who will throw themselves into the fray, interview warriors and generals alike during and after battles and skirmishes. Get the information out to the wider public. Earn an element of danger.
⭐️ Conclave/Senate/Synod/Militia/Bourse Reporters - Investigating the actions taken by the Militia? Fascinated by the politics in Senate? Keeping an eye on a controversial Synod motion and who's voting on it? If there is a niche you want to regularly report on, consider signing up as a reporter!
[All reporters will get their own "Press" tabard or sash to assure you are a reporter for the Bastion Thunderer and therefore full of journalistic integrity. ]

Bettr late than never! The latest issue of the Bastion Thunderer has been collected from the printers and will be available at Anvil. We will have dedicated salesfolk travelling the field with copies and some will be availale at the Navigators of Virtue camp in Highguard.

If you submit anything alongside an IC photo of your character, you may get some artwork to go alongside your article, so people can find and converse with you. 🙂 Word count is roughly 500-700 words for essays and opinion pieces, but we are happy to take longer writing if you feel particularly inspired!

Hello friends! We at the Bastion Thunderer Offices are busy beavering away at our next edition, ready to be hot off the presses for the Summer Solstice. If you are interested in joining our Journalistic team, please contact us, or speak to a representative of the paper at Anvil - recognised by their "PRESS" attire.

As always, we are looking for submissions from Imperial Citizens who might wish to make their thoughts known!

Are you a dedicated priest? Perhaps consider being part of our regular "On Virtue" series, we ask priests to write on a subject pertaining to their particular Virtue. Have an opinion on what is happening in the Empire and want to tell people about it? Submit an opinion piece! Consider yourself a poet? Put your words to page in our Poetry Corner. We of course accept advertisements of all sorts, please contact us about prices.

Finally, we are always on the lookout for some Newsies - paper salespeople - if you would like to earn some coin, meet interesting people and be part of exciting print media of the day, consider getting in touch.

Looking for easier ways to advertise your wares? The Bastion Thunderer is here to help! For our first official run on the Anvil field at E2, we would be glad to offer free advertising space for any who wish to advertise their services, wares, meetings or what-have-you.

We hope everyone had fun at E1 and spotted our war correspondent running about. Alas Issue 1.2 didn't make it to the field due to a printing error, but we're eager to bring issue 2 along with all the info that was missed!

Hello dear citizens! I'm afraid due to a last minute printing error there will not be an updated issue for Anvil this weekend.

We still have copies of Issue 1.1 which was sold at History and Virtue a few weeks ago. Any submissions offered for version 1.2 will instead feature in Issue 2 which will be available at E2 later this year.

During the longest dark, did you attend a social gathering? A player event with much excitement? We would very much like to hear about it from you! We are hoping to offer a 'society section' in the paper, highlighting player events that occurred throughout the season and we would be keen to hear on what happened and how it went. A short article (no longer than 300 words) about what the event was, what occurred and any highlights.

To keep energy generating for Empire LRP, the team at The Bastion Thunderer would like to encourage citizens who intend to attend the Anvil Summit at the Winter Solstice (after this especially Long Dark) for additional contributions.

Whether this will be your first time at Anvil or you have attended many summits, we would like to hear from you! Our own reporters are hard at work, bringing in articles from the battlefronts, on the matter of Virtue, the throne candidacy and the Grendel Peace Treaty. But of course, we want to hear from the citizens themselves! Contributions can consist of anything from articles, opinion pieces, sermons, advertisements, songs, stories and poetry.

Are you campaigning for the Throne? The Bastion Thunderer is returning to print after a 20-year hiatus, and its inaugural Winter edition will be an Election Special.

We are inviting all Throne candidates to submit a short piece on their election campaign, free of charge, for publication.

NOTICE:
After a break of over twenty years, the Bastion Thunderer is returning to print. Now revitalised, this formerly mighty and authoritative news sheet will publish its first issue during the Winter Solstice, available at Anvil, Casinea, Highguard.

The most worm-eaten parts of the printing press have been replaced and inks and paper secured from specialist purveyors in the League.

Contributions are welcomed from interested citizens, senators, cardinals, generals, etc. including news, discussion and feature articles, as are ikonographs and imp-pressions suitable for rendering as engravings.

Advertising will be carried and small advertisements in the section on births, deaths and enchantments are free in this inaugural issue. Please contact us for more details.
