One physician died today “BECAUSE YOU LIED”
Imagine this:
You (a COVID infected patient) enter the emergency room with cough and fever. You denied several times of having a travel history even your family denied it. You enter the emergency room with 10 to 15 patients and 8 to 10 health workers inside. You were admitted at a floor with 20 patients and 4 to 5 nurses per shift.
2 days later, your symptoms worsened. 3 of the patients exposed at the ER also had unexplained worsening of symptoms. You finally decided to tell the truth, THAT YOU HAD A TRAVEL HISTORY. You tested POSITIVE for COVID. They placed all the employees exposed to quarantine leaving the hospital with more than 20 less health workers, leaving 2 nurses per shift attending 20 patients including you. Health care was compromised. A lot of patients became morbid and died, including those patients you risked of having the virus. Then one of your family members had sudden onset of dyspnea and was intubated. He or she had worse symptoms than you.
ALL OF THIS BECAUSE YOU LIED.
Proper history is important for doctors and nurses. So please STOP THE LIES and COOPERATE.
