Woman allegedly kills boss inside office, allege sexual harassment

Ms Muhibat Taiwo Abdulsalam, a staff member of the Federal Competitive Consumer Protection Commission FCCPC, Katsina Branch, is accused of murdering her boss in broad daylight in his office, accusing him of sexual harassment.

According to a source who requested anonymity, Muhibat had a money dispute with her boss, Julius Haruna, the Northwest Zonal Coordinator, FCCPC, later that fateful day he was allegedly killed.

Unknown to colleagues in their office, Muhibat had gone to the Katsina GRA Police Station to report her boss for sexual harassment.

Muhibat who heads the Consumer Education Department for the Commission in Katsina was said to have returned to the office in Modoji Area, after the Zuhur Muslim prayer with two Police Officers to invite her boss for questioning but unfortunately met his lifeless body lying on the floor, with his clothes torn and bruises over his upper body.

It was gathered that Julius Haruna, 57, had reported Ms Muhibat severally to the Head Office for acts of insubordination.

While confirming the report of the demise of the FCCPC Zonal Coordinator, the elder brother of the deceased, Aegidius Haruna said “from the statement given and what I heard, they quarrelled over money approved for her in the office because she needed extra which he refused to oblige. I think that is how the problem started.

“We are shocked by his death. Our family members sent me here to seek justice for his death,” Aegidius noted in a brief statement.

Contrarily, Muhibat on her part is accusing her late boss and their office accountant of sexual harassment, feigning ignorance of his death before rushing to the Police to seek protection from her assaulters, a source who does not wish to be named said.

Sources who claimed to have seen Muhibat after the police accompanied her to their office said she looked unruffled and without bruises unlike the deceased who assaulted her.

According to the elder brother, Muhibat who is currently detained at the GRA Police station would be moved in due course to the state CID for further investigation

New Mansoura:

Officially New Mansoura City, is a planned city in Egypt. It will lie on the Mediterranean coast around 50 km north of Old Mansoura.

The city represents one of several ambitious urban development projects of the government. With the help of which the problem of the congestion of the existing cities is to be solved. The development of the city will cost around 3.7 billion US dollars.

Abacha Loots: $322.5 Million Abacha Loot Shared To 1.9m Nigerians - FG

The Federal Government said it has disbursed the entire $322.5 million Abacha loot of 2017 to 1.9 million poor and vulnerable Nigerians.

Before making the disbursement, the money accrued an interest of $11 million where it was deposited.

Mr. David Ugolor, Executive Director of ANEEJ, an independent monitor providing independent report on the use of the funds, made this disclosure in Abuja.

Mr. Ugolor told reporters that “the Abacha loot is exhausted. An interest of $11 million was accrued in the money where it was saved and it was disbursed to around 1.9 million poor Nigerians”.

Ugolor added that “no politically motivated data was used in selecting the beneficiaries; the National Social Register was used to determine those who will benefit and the register is updated regularly to remove those who have died”.

According to the ANEEJ Executive Director, “the Abacha loot that was recovered have been exhausted, we have a responsibility to inform Nigerians and then to make sure to tell them what the money was used for”.

He noted that, “it is a very controversial issue that people sit down at home and begin to point fingers that Abacha’s money has been stolen. What we have done with this monitoring is very ground breaking”.

Ugolor said ANEEJ will publish by the end of next month, state by state data of how the money was disbursed.

The General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has reportedly uncovered the identity of the hands behind blog, Gistlover.

This is coming days after the blogger accused Suleman of having an affair with multiple nollywood actresses and female celebrities.

Nollywood stars, Cynthia Okereke and Clemson Cornel reportedly missing – Actors Guild raises alarm

Monalisa Chinda, Director of Communications of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has announced the suspected kidnap of two movie stars, Cynthia Okereke and Clemson Cornel in a statement issued on Friday, July 29.

According to the statement, the veterans were reportedly missing after their family members confirmed they didn’t come back from a film location at Ozalla Town, Enugu State.

Monalisa noted that they are at the moment believed to have been abducted. It was equally stated that the worrisome development has increased fear and tension among theatre practitioners.

In light of the suspected kidnapping, The National President of Actors Guild, Emeka Rollas has advised actors to be more vigilant and cautious, and avoid going to outskirts of cities to shoot.

Big Lesson I Learned After 2 Wives Left Me – Mr. Ibu

Nigerian actor, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu has recounted how his first two wives left him for the same reason.

In an interview with Punch, the comic actor reflected on fatherhood, marriage, and more heartfelt issues. Speaking honestly about his initial irresponsibility as a father/family-man and why his two wives left him, Mr. Ibu said:

When you are young and single it is a big difference from being a married man, and a bigger difference when you start to have children. When you have babies, you are becoming a man, and when you are becoming a man, you are thinking big. There were certain things I wouldn’t do that I do now, because I am the head of my family and family comes first. Also, my children look up to me, learn from me and emulate me. I have to show them that I am responsible, so that they can be proud of who I am. God says you should nurture them, provide for them and that is what I do. Fatherhood makes you a responsible person. We have fathers who are responsible and there are others who are irresponsible and careless.

When I started my journey into fatherhood, I was a careless father, but by God’s grace I was able to retrace my steps, build up myself and today I am proudly a responsible father. If you are a careless father, who doesn’t care for his children, who doesn’t have love for his and family, who doesn’t have love and passion for building a home, such a person is not a man. I have been able to live up to my responsibilities as a father by providing for my family and making sure they never lack.

You have to build confidence in yourself. You learn everyday as a father, and I never miss any opportunity to learn everyday and this makes me a better parent. I have people who learn from me and I teach them how to build a home even though I had some ups and downs in the course of trying to build a home. My first and second marriages failed; they (my wives) left me after having a child each for me. I wondered what made them make such decisions and they made me know that it was because I didn’t have money. This made me know that I have to be able to keep my family and provide for them and make sure that they are satisfied and not have any reason to look down on me.

Kenyan student arraigned for sending his married lover’s n**e photos to her husband

A 21-year-old Kenyan student, Steven Wanjohi Kamande has been charged to court for unlawfully distributing his intimate photos with alleged lover, Esther Nduta Githinji to her husband, Joel Thuo with the intention to cause fear.

The accused appeared before Nairobi Chief Magistrate Wendy Kagendo of the Milimani Law Courts on Monday, February 14 and denied the three criminal charges levelled against him by the state of sending false information, threatening to kill and wrongly distributing obscene material.

The court heard that Wanjohi who is a student in one of the universities in the city allegedly sent his intimate photos with the woman to her husband as proof that he was having an affair with her.

He was also charged with wrongly distributing obscene and intimate images of Nduta the alleged wife of the complainant knowingly to be false and calculated to cause fear to the said Thuo and his family.

The suspect is alleged to have sent the photos via his page on diverse dates between May 1, 2021, and January 14, 2022.

The charge sheet against Wanjohi states that “On the diverse dates at an unknown place knowingly published false information saying ‘unasemanga uko na bibi‘ using your Facebook account Steven Kamande to Joel Thuo Mwangi knowing it to be false and calculated to cause fear and panic to the said Joel and his family.”

The accused was further charged with a third count of threatening to kill Nduta and her entire family between the same dates at an unknown place within the republic of Kenya following the revelation of the information.

After denying the charges the accused person sought to be released on reasonable bail terms as he is willing to abide by all conditions set by the court.

He also sought to be supplied with all the evidence material the state seeks to use during the trial of his case.

The prosecution did not oppose his release and the magistrate ordered his release on a bond of Ksh100,000 or cash bail of a similar amount with one contact person.
