ECLECTIC HOURS (11/2/2025) IS UNDERWAY!! - (SOME) FAVORITES OF THE PAST TEN YEARS - PART ONE!

We're starting with Will Pfrang, Jack Tempchin, Ellis Paul, and Rachael Sage!! It’s that time of year again – time for our “(Some) Favorites of The Past Ten Years” shows! We’ve reviewed favorite songs culled from the playlists of our annual favorites shows from 2015 to 2024. It’s partially objective from counting the number of spins and partially subjective in considering does the song really still stick with me - is there still some emotional reaction to the song? With one or two exceptions I’ve avoided remakes unless it was really unique and/or impressive to me. I tried to avoid playing any artist twice but since all ground rules made to be broken there are a few exceptions. What I can promise is two weeks of some really great songs, IMHO. Hope you’ll tune in to hear how the list turned out!

ECLECTIC HOURS IS UNDERWAY!! (10/26/2025) THE HALLOWEEN SHOW!!

We're starting with Trout Fishing in America, Billy Joel, The Doors Loudon Wainwright III and John McCutcheon!! Since we didn’t have a Halloween show last year, this year we’ll really have fun with it! Today we have music that will cover many of the topics that you would expect to pop up on Halloween. Somewhere in the back of my brain I seem to be morphing the concepts of the new White House ballroom with the 50th Anniversary of The Rocky Horror Show, and that turned into something special or strange. (You Be the Judge). As always, we’ll be crossing a few genres and having fun. The real challenge may be for me to fight the urge to do my Sesame Street Count von Count impersonation. Tune in and see if I can control myself!!

We're starting with Simon and Garfunkel, Cyndi Lauper with Sarah Sarah McLachlan, Kipyn Martin, and Todd Rundgren. The first set has ended up being driven by the combination of realizing starting with some musical musings on the thought that you’ve known someone for 54 years as of yesterday. (Met Regina about this time in 1971!) Add to that the memories of Autumn being when I first heard some songs. After that there is also something about this time of year that always brings in so much great new music, so the new music sets are sounding really choice! There will be the Concert Calendar and music from folks coming to town, as you’d expect. Please note – next week will be the Halloween Show!! We really didn’t have one last year so this year we’re going to do it up big!! (I always have so much fun with the Halloween Show!) Hope you’ll be with us.
