These statistics are shocking.
By 2023, more than 46% of teens report being online ‘almost all the time.’”
Both boys and girls have seen a 150% increase in depression since 2010.
These statistics come from a book called THE ANXIOUS GENERATION by Jonathan Haidt. He breaks down the symptoms and causes of the next generation and what struggles they are facing from the technology boom.

Breaking those old-school tech habits and setting some healthy boundaries around screens? Challenge accepted! 💪 It’s all about teaching my kids how to enjoy tech without overdoing it. We’re balancing screen time with real-world play and creativity because, hey, life’s more fun when they’re exploring off-screen too! Let’s make this shift together and build healthier tech habits for our kids. 🚀

Raising trilingual children in a digital world means finding balance when it comes to screen time. My kids love watching movies in English, but I make sure to incorporate our other languages into their routine to keep them engaged with all three. Screen time is a tool I use intentionally for language development and family bonding. It’s all about finding what works and making it fun! 🌟

This is an important, but touchy conversation.
On one hand, parents everywhere are trying to reduce screen time because of the negative impact it can have on the development on our children. On the other hand, we want to be able to properly communicate with our kids if there is an emergency.
What are your thoughts on bringing devices to class?
It’s our responsibility to help kids navigate the world with less anxiety and depression. #screentimeeffects #limitscreentime

We all do what works for us, but our household has a strict no-screen policy during mealtimes
Imagine the fun things he is learning by using his hands with his mind!

Who remembers the ipod shuffle?
Load and go! No screens to scroll on, just a few simple buttons and lots of listening hours.
Wouldn’t it be nice to have something like this for kids in 2024? An option to give them music, kids podcasts, audiobooks, and all of the audio content that they love WITHOUT activating the addiction center of their brain?
Hmm….something to think about!

Here’s what you’ll need 👇
Harina Pan
Water
Shredded mozzarella cheese
Salt
I don’t have specific measurements because I just go by eye!
Mix all your ingredients together, you can mix with a fork, I usually use my hand! The “dough” should be not too dry and not too wet, easy enough to roll a ball to then flatten.
The thickness is based on your preference. We like to make them really flat so they cook faster and are more crunchy! The thicker they are, the longer they will need to cook, and the softer the inside.
I use a sandwich press to cook them, but you can cook them in a pan with butter as well!
I like to wrap up my arepas to then freeze them, so I can make a bunch and have them available whenever I want one!
Just remember the more harina pan you use, the more arepas you can make!
Happy cooking!
