Elder Scrolls Oblivion is a classic open-world action role-playing game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and released in 2006. It is the fourth installment in the Elder Scrolls series, following 2002's Morrowind. Oblivion takes place in the province of Cyrodiil, where a mysterious cult has opened portals to a hellish realm called Oblivion, unleashing demons and chaos upon the land.
Oblivion lets you create your own custom character and choose from various races, classes, skills, and attributes. You can also customize your appearance with different hairstyles, facial features, and clothing. You can explore the vast world of Cyrodiil at your own pace, completing quests for various factions or individuals, or just wandering around and discovering secrets.
Oblivion has a dynamic combat system that allows you to use different weapons, spells, and items to fight enemies. You can also sneak around and use stealth skills to avoid detection or perform assassinations. The game also features a physics engine that makes objects react realistically to your actions.
Oblivion has a rich story that involves saving the world from an evil Daedric prince named Mehrunes Dagon. You have to find and protect the last heir of the emperor who was assassinated by the cultists. Along the way you will meet memorable characters such as Martin Septim voiced by Sean Bean Jauffre voiced by Ralph Cosham Lucien Lachance voiced by Wes Johnson etc.
Oblivion also has two official expansions: Knights of the Nine which adds a new faction and questline involving holy relics; and Shivering Isles which adds a new realm ruled by Sheogorath voiced by Michael Mack ,the Daedric prince of madness.
Oblivion is not perfect though. The game has some technical issues such as bugs glitches crashes etc., that can affect the gameplay experience. Some of the graphics are also dated compared to newer games especially some of the facial animations. The game can also be repetitive at times due to some of the quests being similar or boring.
Despite these flaws though Oblivion is still an amazing game that deserves all the praise it has received over years.
