Over the summer Groove Korea had the amazing opportunity to meet up with a truly original band from Glasgow, Scotland – Colonel Mustard & the Dijon Five. This wasn’t their first time here – they had previously performed at Zandari Festa in Hongdae – but the group had come to perform in the first-ever DMZ Peace Train Music Festival and as a result, fans have been blessed with two music videos and an upcoming documentary on their experience here.
Beyond watching their show, we got the chance to get to know the band on a personal level. Editor-in-chief Emma Kalka joined them for dinner after their first concert here and then met up with them later to enjoy watching a World Cup match in City Hall. We cheered, we drank, we talked - a lot - and had a hell of a good time.
The message that Colonel Mustard & The Dijon Five brought with them to South Korea was one of peace, and it’s a message that they continue to spread even long after returning to Glasgow. More than that, they’ve developed a strong relationship with South Korea that is sure to bring them back again and again in the future. At least we certainly hope so.
So, without further ado, Groove Korea is privileged to debut Colonel Mustard & The Dijon 5's music video for “Seoul’s Got Soul,” which was filmed during their trip here over the summer. Watch and enjoy!
