Bought this blouse for one ringgit only ahhhh 😍

What’s so good about thrift shopping? (Besides the price)
1. It’s good for the environment
2. Less clothing in landfills
3. You contribute to the decrease in textile demands (the amount of clothing produce in a week is crazy)
4. Less resources used and wasted (that jeans you’re wearing take about 1 thousand gallon of water to make 😳)
5. Less pollution (the chemicals used to make that baju. It’ll pollute the air, soil, water etc. Lives are on the line)

By thrifting, you’re not gonna solve all these problems, however it is a way we can work together to minimize our carbon footprint. Personally, i sometimes do still purchase things that are not thrifted, but I do try my best to purchase with a purpose, and try to be a conscious consumer.

You know the feeling you get when the priest says “Go and announce the gospel of the Lord” at the end of the mass? the feeling of needing to proclaim His words? Idk but something about today’s mass really had me. The homily was really a wake up call, the priest reminded us how we should be generous; if we were given something, we should take it, break it and share it. And what we have now, if we’re not using it, we should be giving them to the poor because just by storing them in our store rooms is like robbing the poor. The second reading (Romans 8:35,37-39) also hit me, its another reminder of God’s Love and how nothing can come between Him and us. Countless times we worry about the future, is this the right path for me? Will I get a stable job? are we working hard enough? Will we be able to provide for our children? The verse reminds us not to worry, He will be with us through those tough times. The good and the bad. Yes it is hard to not worry, but get this, like it or not bad things will always happen. But through those bad things, with God, miracles happen. I hope you guys have a blessed August ♡
