Happy Saturday friends! Sorry for the lack of posting! Life gets crazy 🤪 I’m back with a Sick Song Saturday!

This week goes to Skrillex ft. Corbin and Chief Keef! I know I’ve featured Skrillex before but this one really is on part because of Corbin. The “sad boy” vocals he does on this track are unbelievable and super hard hitting. 2nd verse of his gives me chills every time.

A little late for Sick Song Saturday but this weeks choice is better suited for a Sunday anyways🤷🏻‍♂️

This weeks pick is an old favorite from a children’s movie. It’s no secret that Boyz II Men redefined R&B in an amazing way but this track will forever be a favorite of mine. The A ca****la harmonizing is something to soothe anyone’s ears and the lyrical message is just incredibly inspiring.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted a Sick Song Saturday but we’re back! Sorry for the delay.

This week goes to one of my biggest idols Skrillex (aka Sonny Moore). This song isn’t particularly fasinating from a general view I’d imagine, but as someone who makes music this track is filled with so much glee for me.

Again the lyrics aren’t life changing and the music isn’t other worldly but sometimes artists get so caught up in making perfect music they stop having fun with it. It’s clear that this song was made in some sort of impromptu recording session and the 2 artists are just free styling off of each other. In all my time spent in music collaborating and jamming with other artists has always been the most fun so I can feel the joyful energy these artists give off when they sing this track and I love it♥️

It’s here!

The new music video for my song “Doubts” is out today! A special shoutout to Riley and Jade, the actors, and Clayton for filming such an awesome piece of work🙌🏻

This video is a culmination of the feelings and ideas that run through the lyrics of the song. Love, longing, uncertainty, etc. I wrote this song when I thought I had lost love completely and was scared what a lonely future might hold. I’m so happy with the results of the song and video and feel complete now that it’s finally out👻

Heck yes it’s the weekend! Time for some Sick Song Saturday!

This week is a brand new track from one of my all time favorite female vocalists. “Shines” drops in with one of the dopest hard hitting screaming vocals of the year and then cascades in to a beautiful melody of well delivered lines by the lead singer. The song also does a great job of keeping you on your toes as it kind of transforms several times.

Everyone knows Jon Bellion but this is by far my favorite use of his vocal talents. The song has an eerily dark feel with a hard hitting beats. Made only better by the complimenting of Travis Mendes’ voice to Jon’s. Lyrically stimulating and just all around enjoyable🙌🏻

Apologies for missing Sick Song Saturday! To make up for it here’s a Sick Song Sunday!

Had to throw it back to an old favorite of mine today. This song is controversial, you either love it or it’s the most annoying song you’ve ever heard. Personally I love the weird lyrics and the general chill anthem of it all. Mix it all together with some DJ scratches in the background and you already know I gotta play it at the backyard BBQ🙌🏻

This weeks sick song Saturday was an easy pick for sure!

Stromae is a name that lots of people are familiar with but this particular song has been on repeat all week for me. Between the big band swing, the catchy lyrics, and the amazing trans representation the video and song are a grand slam in my book🙌🏻

It’s that time again! Welcome back to sick song Saturday!

This week I decided to go a little harder than our previous picks. Rain City Drive, formerly known as Slaves when Jonny Craig was the lead singer, it’s the perfect balance of post hardcore and soul in my opinion. The new lead singer, Matt McAndrew, is a face you might recognize from competing on the Voice back in 2014. This man’s voice control is next level and his addition to the band was a perfect fit.
