BREAKING: Big E Has Been Told Not To Return To The Ring

Speaking to media on Friday before SummerSlam, Big E shared that he has been advised to retire from ring-action by spinal specialists.

“We did the year checkup, and all that stuff looks great, as well. But on the other side, you know, I also talked to spine specialists, some who've worked on people in the company and done their fusions, and they said like, 'Hey, I would not wrestle again if I were you.' So, for me, at 37, these are things that I think about, I think about quality of life. When I started this job at 23 years old, I probably had a bit of a death wish and was okay dying in the ring; I now, at 37, would like to not die in the ring; I would like to do other things with my life." -Big E

We all want nothing more than to see him in the ring, but in the end, we have to accept that he has to do what’s best for his health. If we have seen the last of Big E, congratulations to the 8 time Tag Team champion, 2 time Intercontinental Champion, NXT Champion, MITB winner, 33rd Triple Crown Champion, and WWE Champion on one hell of a career. Thank you, Big E!

“Alright, this is a really, really difficult question. Because I don’t regret going to TNA, I absolutely loved TNA. I loved my 11 years there. I probably would’ve stayed if the money didn’t run out. But I knew it was my time to go back to WWE, and I wanted to finish my career where I started. But when I go back, the one thing I would love to change is, I wish I didn’t get injured so much. Because that’s what caused my painkiller problem, and then my painkiller problem caused me to leave the WWE. Because I felt like, if I wasn’t gonna leave, I would end up doing something pretty bad, which was overdose on painkillers. So I thought it was right for me to leave. But if I wouldn’t have left the WWE and I would’ve wrestled there 20 straight years, I believe to this day I’d be the greatest of all time. And that’s not me blowing smoke, I’m just being honest. I think I would be considered the greatest of all time if I had stuck with WWE for 20 years.”
