Hokkaido is the second largest island of Japan and the largest and northernmost prefecture. Its capital and largest city is Sapporo. Hokkaido is famous for its beautiful landscape, consisting of volcanos, mountains and forests. The island is also home to many hot springs which attract lots of tourists every year. The location seems to be possibly based off of the mountains around Lake Shikotsu on the Island of Hokkaido. The mountain in the backround of the map being based off of Mount Eniwa.
