Pray with me, Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in prayer, guided by the scriptures that remind us of your promise to bestow upon us the Holy Spirit, who will be our guide, our comforter, and our reminder. We are reassured by passages like John 14:26, which tells us, "But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you."
Lord, we humbly ask that you pour out the Holy Spirit into our lives, that we may be fortified and strengthened as a family. Whether it be to reestablish a once-close bond or to forge a new and profound closeness for the first time, we seek your divine guidance. As it is written in Ephesians 6:10-11, "Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes." We seek protection from the evil one, knowing that through the Spirit, we are shielded by your love and grace.
We give thanks for the wisdom found in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, which reminds us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we are to care for them. We ask for the discipline to maintain good health by drinking plenty of water, exercising daily, and getting ample rest.
As we cultivate a close and personal relationship with you, following the example of Jesus, we implore you to help us walk in the fruitage of the Spirit, as mentioned in Galatians 5:22-23, so that we may bear love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
We desire to wear the complete armor of God, including prayer for all the saints, as it is a vital part of our spiritual defense. As we do so, we draw inspiration from Ephesians 6:18, "And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people."
Lord, please supply our daily needs and bless us with increased financial abundance so that not only our needs are met, but we can also provide support to others in need, as we are encouraged in 2 Corinthians 9:8, "And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work."
Above all, we pray for the strength to love you with all our heart, soul, mind, and might, as well as to love our neighbors as ourselves, fulfilling the commandment found in Mark 12:30-31. Let your will, not ours, be done in our lives, and instill in us unwavering loyalty and faith in you in every aspect of our journey.
We are thankful for all you have done, are doing, and will do in our lives. We thank you for your endless grace and love. In Jesus' mighty name, we offer our prayers and say, Amen, Amen, and Amen. Please join us in saying Amen to agree, as we trust this prayer to reach the ears of our gracious God.
Amen.
