This is 63. Each year passes faster and faster. Most days, I do no feel my age. I do not feel old or like a senior citizen. I have more energy than I did when I was a younger man. Personallly, for me, as I get older, birthdays are a lot about self-reflection. It is a time and look back on areas of my life and see where I fell short and what I learned about myself in the process. Most important is that I take time to be present to my blessings. The journey of life is not always easy, it is filled with love, loss, pain and joy. I am blessed to have family, friends and community. I am blessed to have my health and to be able to do positive things, that light me up as a result. When the the late and great Warren Zevon, who was in the final stages of cancer, was asked if he had any advise. He said: Enjoy every sandwhich. No one gets out of here alive. Enjoy every hug, every kiss, every sunrise, every sunset, every musical note, every smile, every laugh, every sandwhich and every ride. Life is a gift, even though some days it may not feel like it. It is not what we have it is how we use it. Happy Birthday to me. 🙂❤️🎂Thank you mom, dad and God. 🙏
