Buen dia, damas y caballeros of the online world of press conferences and writing contests!
Indeed, we are beyond grateful for receiving such warm welcome coming from more than 500 registrants which submitted themselves as participants of our contests. Issues are inevitable, thus, we decided to write this statement to address the issue/s in registering. This is for everyone.
What follows are the things that we want to remind and clarify:
1.) During the registration day, you must read the whole post of registration first for it contains guidelines on what to put on the registration form, when, where, how, and who are allowed to register. Read and comprehend before deciding what your next move will be. Do not be impulsive.
2.) Despite not being able to read the guidelines, you may still be informed by our facilitators for they are tasked to clarify things out in a way which the participants will easily absorb the informations. Whatever the facilitator said, asked, and ordered you to do, as long as it is anchored with your registration, must be followed and respected. If he/she told you to fill out the forms properly, then do it. If he/she told you that you may not proceed, you have every right to ask why but whatever his/her decision will be must be respected for it is also the decision of the administration. You don't have to gather up audiences and put the name of an OPC/OWC in shame. Respect your facilitators together with their decisions, and do talk to them improperly. Sarcasm is not a good firsthand weapon.
3.) Not all online writing contest/ online press conference accepts students with education level beyond college, and has no age limit. True enough, our pens and papers does not have age, gender, nor education level but be mindful that there are rules created by the administration and they do not easily change without reasons.
4.) It is okay to be offended if we did not accept you—your feeling is valid. Thus, this is not enough reason to spread fallacies and false accusations. That is not what an ethical writer/journalist must do.
5.) If my men confirmed, added you on their group chats, or gave you any sign of approval that you're already a participant even if you do not qualify, I, Autor Del Amanecer, in behalf of my PDLOWPC team, am sincerely apologizing for committing such mistake. Rest assured that we will try our best to protect and promote a good battle between pens and papers in the journey to writing and molding history.
Read, understand, and accept; respond with ethics of a true writer/journalist. Patunayan ninyo na hindi kayo pang-contest lang. We hope not to hear any attacks regarding with this issue again, and we hope we made ourselves clear.
To the participants of Papel De Liha Online Wri-Press Conference, BUEN SUERTE, DAMAS Y CABALLEROS! VIVA; MANTENER!
