ABS-CBN Corp. of the Lopez family reduced its net loss by 54 percent to P2.6 billion last year, primarily due to higher advertising and consumer sales.

Despite the non-renewal of its franchise, the company remains committed to creating compelling content and stories for both domestic and overseas markets through strategic partnerships and collaborations.

Last year, ABS-CBN generated consolidated revenues of P19.19 billion, marking an 8 percent increase from the previous year’s P17.82 billion. Of this amount, P6.39 billion came from advertising revenues, while P12.80 billion was generated from consumer sales.

Meanwhile, costs and expenses reached P23.45 billion, representing a 4 percent increase from P22.53 billion in 2021.

To expand its digital and international businesses, ABS-CBN has consolidated its owned and operated streaming platforms into “IWantTFC,” lifting geographic restrictions for entertainment and news content in select regions worldwide

Additionally, the company licensed over 180 titles to multiple territories in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and various international OTT platforms, generating over P528 million.

Following the lapse of Sky Cable’s franchise, ABS-CBN shifted its focus to growing its broadband subscriber base. Despite the absence of direct-to-home (DTH) services, Sky Cable’s revenues reached P8.40 billion.

Sa vlog na in-upload ni Cristy noong December 20, napag-usapan ng tatlo ang Partners in Crime, ang pelikula ni Vice at official entry para sa Metro Manila Film Festival ngayong 2022.

Wendell: “Parang ito na ‘yung pelikula ni Vice na walang promotion, walang ingay… Ito na nga siguro ‘yung umpisa ng pagbagsak ni Vice… Siguro baka nasa number 7 o number 8 [ang Partners in Crime sa MMFF ranking]. She just recently grabbed the Best Supporting Performance plum in the 2022 LAFCA - The Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards for her portrayal in the same film.

Fatty Liver: Ano Dapat Kainin

Maraming may fatty liver na resulta base sa ultrasound. Ang fatty liver ay taba na naimbak sa selula ng atay at kadalasan ay nakikita sa mga edad 40’s at 50’s.
Kadalasan ay walang sintomas ito pero sa ibang pasyente ay lumalaki ang atay, makirot sa kanang bahagi ng tiyan at madaling mapagod.
Ayon sa mga eksperto, maaaring may kaugnayan ang fatty liver sa pagiging mataba, mataas na asukal sa dugo o diabetes, mataas ang triglyceride at kolesterol. Ang iba pang risk factor ay PCOS o Polycystic o***y syndrome, hypothyroid at iba pang sakit.
Tamang pagkain sa fatty liver:
1. Kumain ng mga 2 tasang gulay at 2 tasang prutas kada araw.
2. Puwede kumain ng mais, patatas, kamote, ube at kamoteng kahoy. Magbawas sa kaning puti.
3. Mabuti ang protina galing sa isda, mongo beans, karne, manok na walang taba, low fat milk, yogurt at soya milk.
4. Piliin ang healthy fats tulad ng mani, kasoy, garbanzos at olive oil. Umiwas sa butter o krema, mayonnaise at sebo.
5. Panatilihin ang tamang timbang at regular na mag-ehersisyo.
6. Tubig ang pinakamagandang inumin para sa iyo. Umiwas sa matatamis na inumin.

The Crusader Publication has released the results of their presidential survey with the following caption: "The Xavier Ateneo University pulse has been marked! Decided or still undecided, its undergraduate and postgraduate students have shown their current stand for the Presidential and Vice-Presidential election races. How are your candidates faring in the academe?

1,304 (16.6%) undergraduate and postgraduate students responded out of the 7,834 total student population of the University.

Of 1,304 responses, 1,238 (95%) are registered voters and 65 are unregistered citizens (5%). Of the 1,238 registered voters, 784 (63.4%) are first-time voters.

Independent Presidential candidate and Vice President Leni Robredo led the survey with 930 votes (71.3%), followed by former senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr with 174 votes (13.3%), former senator Panfilo "Ping" Lacson with 44 votes (3.4%), Manila City Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso with 19 (1.5%), and labor leader Leody de Guzman with 12 votes (0.9%).

Moreover, 123 (9.4%) respondents were still undecided.

The survey ran from February 2 to 14 and was made open to all XU undergraduate and postgraduate students. Only students with active University Email accounts were able to access and answer the survey to ensure that responses are coming from the university community.
