GOOD Morning Britain star Rob Rinder has vowed to ‘sort out’ the Phillip Schofield and Eamonn Holmes’ ITV war. Eamonn, 63, hasn’t held back over the past few weeks following Phillip’s sudden departure from This Morning. Rob Rinder has vowed to ‘sort out’ Phillip Schofield and Eamonn Holmes’ ITV war Eamonn has been sharing his views on Phillip over the past few weeksRex Phillip left ITV last monthRex Phillip quit ITV in May after relationship with the male ITV employee was exposed, but weeks before the anchor had become embroiled in a feud with co-star Holly Willoughby. Since then Eamonn, who once starred on This Morning alongside Phillip, has been giving his say on the matter. Rob, 45, who become a regular host on GMB last year, has said he’ll mediate a wrestling match between the pair. Speaking exclusively to The Sun at the TRIC Awards today, Rob said: “I should mediate some disputes while we’re here. “Let’s not do it in court. Let’s do it the old fashioned way and wrestle or fence. “Phillip and Eamonn wrestle each other…” He continued: “As a court I would only bring cases and controversies that were brought to me. “All I want is people to have a hearing space and to talk. “There’s no point going into the world with toxic conflict, life is too short. “Delight in the privilege of what we have being on telly and radio because it’s a joy.” Earlier this month Eamonn appeared to have struck out at This Morning once again while talking about “abuse” in the workplace. The broadcaster admitted that he finds it impossible not to “stand up against bad people” and speak up for those who are too afraid. Eamonn, who has publicly branded This Morning as “toxic”, even describes himself as a “superhero”. Speaking on a podcast, he said: “The abuses in work places of how people are treated by a lot of big companies is scandalous really.” Complaining about a lack of unions within the television industry, Eamonn then added: “I do like representing people that don’t have a voice, who aren’t represented and have nobody to speak for them. “I think I’ve always had that bit of a superhero thing in me which has always got me in trouble. Which is, ‘Pardon me, what did you just say to him? I’m sorry, if you’re going to pick a fight then pick a fight against me’. “That’s my sort of attitude. And then you can be seen as wrong. But I only stand up against bad people, and I think there are quite a lot of bad people.” Eamonn’s podcast comments come just 24 hours after he claimed to “know the truth” about This Morning’s investigation into Phillip’s affair with a young employee. He lashed out after ITV boss Kevin Lygo slammed the former This Morning host in a parliamentary committee. Eamonn said on GB News on Thursday: “There’s a scene in a Few Good Men where Jack Nicholson shouts ‘You can’t handle the truth’. Well, I know the truth and I know what the truth is. “I know what I know and they [ITV] don’t seem to know a lot. People take sides on these things whether it’s the Boris business or the Phillip Schofield business. But people can’t handle the truth.” Eamonn also demand that ITV bosses make public evidence of their initial investigation into Schofield’s affair with a younger colleague. He added: “I’d just like to see the documentary evidence and see what the quiz was and what the questions were. “I’m surprised that wasn’t asked for because my understanding of it was both parties were basically asked are you OK, are you OK. Yes? Yes? OK, Both happy? And that was it….” ITV boss Dame Carolyn McCall denied ”turning a blind eye” to rumours of Phillip‘s affair. The chief executive insisted the relationship on This Morning was “repeatedly denied” over the years. She said: “There was only hearsay and rumour and speculation… Nobody on the board would have turned a blind eye to something as serious as this.” Eamonn and Phillip pictured together in 2013Rex
