UPDATE on IXTA Release 5:40pm - The family is visiting with Ignacio Ixta Jr. now inside the VC Jail as a “hiccup” at the state level means he won’t be released until tomorrow. Here is a video from earlier today outside Ventura County Superior Court after the court orders the case dismissed after Ixta Jr. was wrongly convicted in 2010 for a 2009 attempted murder. He has served 10 years at Pelican Bay State Prison.

Hundreds gathered today in Ventura at a Black Lives Matter event organized by the Ventura County Chapter of the NAACP with support from LULAC.
