Suspicious Circumstance - Valley Center
Family member possibly buried on family property

On March 20th, 2025, at approximately 5:46 p.m., Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call of a family member that recently passed away and was buried on the family property, located in the 29000 block of Paso Robles Road, Valley Center. Upon arrival, deputies located what appeared to be a recently buried grave.
Due to there being no record of the decedent’s death, the Sheriff’s Homicide Unit responded to the scene and took over the investigation.

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 3-16-25 4:20pm
LOCATION: 1542 E Lincoln Ave

DETAILS:
At around 4:20 PM reports of a vehicle versus pedestrian came out at the address listed above.
On arrival first responders, I’m located at a pedestrian down In the road.
They also located a second patient in a red sedan.
Firefighters quickly transported the pedestrian to Palomar hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the red sedan was also transported with moderate injuries.
Per a sergeant on scene The red sedan Was traveling westbound on East Lincoln.
For unknown reasons, the vehicle crashed into a white sedan that was being worked on by the pedestrian.
The car continued and rear ended a van and cause a chain crash of parked vehicles.
In total, four parked vehicles were struck by the red sedan.
It is unknown of alcohol or drugs, or a factor in this crash.
The Escondido traffic unit is currently investigating this collision.

LOCATION: Haunted Head 207 N Tremont St
AREA/CITY: Oceanside
DETAILS:
At around 12:30 AM reports of a shooting, came out at the address listed above.
On arrival first responder is located a victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
Firefighters requested an air ambulance due to the injuries.
From witnesses on scene the shooting stemmed from an argument outside the bar.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his 40s.
The suspect is still outstanding.
The area has been closed off as Police continue to investigate this shooting.

LOCATION: 1719 Sheridan Ave

DETAILS:
At around 7:42 PM reports of a structure fire came out near the address listed above.
While in route firefighters can see a plume, and the balance was upgraded to a working fire.
Firefighters arrived and found a residence with a well involved roof fire.
Due to the steep driveway and access issues and extended firefight is underway as of now.
At this time, it is unknown if there are any injuries.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time, but will be under investigation once the fire is extinguished.

LOCATION: S Santa Fe & Broadway

DETAILS:
At around 1:54 AM, reports of a single vehicle traffic collision came out at the address listed above.
On arrival, first responders located a Mustang that had struck several street signs, including a sign for a Sonic restaurant.
First responders assessed the patient on scene, but he declined medical attention.
Sheriff’s deputies conducted a DUI investigation on the driver and he was placed under arrest.
The driver was leaving Smitty’s bar, located at 119 E. Broadway when he struck a large boulder.
He then struck the sign at sonic and continued onto South Santa Fe, where he had multiple street lights and signs.

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 03/04/25 1:08 PM LOCATION: Intersection of Mission Road and Enterprise St.

DETAILS:
At around 1:08 pm reports of a crash involving a sprinter train came out at the intersection listed above.
Arriving units found a Sprinter train had collided with a pickup truck
due to the heavy damage firefighters attempted to extricate the driver but they were pronounced deceased on scene.
there is damage to a train crossing bar and at this time appears the vehicle drive thru prior to the collision.
it is unknown if any passengers or personnel were injured in the serious crash.

LOCATION: 1929 RedWing St.
AREA/CITY: San Marcos
DETAILS:
At around 1:11 PM reports of a fire came out at the address listed above.
on arrival firefighters located a fire to the rear of the house.
3 dogs were rescued from the backyard and placed into a deputies vehicle
no injuries were reported.
3 people were displaced And are being assisted by Red Cross.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.

At around 1:34 PM reports of a head-on traffic collision came out at the address listed above.
on arrival first responders located a county of San Diego animal services vehicle.
the vehicle was struck by a pick up truck that was driving eastbound and westbound lanes.
The driver of the black truck was transported with moderate injuries.
The driver of the county vehicle was not transported and only sustained minor injuries
1 car was being transported but was not injured.

Firefighters responded to a report of a crash at the address listed above.
On arrival firefighters located a vehicle over the side with a wooden pole penetrating the windshield
The sole occupant in the vehicle was assisted out of the vehicle and transported.
It is unknown if he is the driver.

1. Calls came in for a crash at the address listed above.
2. Additional callers advised That the vehicle was upside down and catching fire.
3.First responders arrived and located a patient out of the vehicle and transported them to a hospital.
4. It took a while to extinguish the flames from the vehicle due to the gas tank leaking fuel.
