Unfortunately due to distribution issues despite being relatively successful as a start up label, we are being dropped from our distribution company.
This is a bit of a bummer as we have maintained our label to be overhead free so having our releases brought down by the distributor is disheartening and goes against all of our core principles as a label.
We have yet to be paid by the distributor so as soon as I gather any royalties I shall distribute them to our artists as agreed, but unfortunately those who released will have their tracks taken down due to corporate greed.
I welcome all artists to take their work to another label to continue to provide an outlet for their fans, and gather the few small gains they can in royalties elsewhere.
We at Transcension appreciate and respect the amount of work and heart that has gone into these projects, and continue to want to see the artist done right by the scene, therefore, we relinquish any label rights to allow artists to re-sign tracks with other labels.
We want to apologise to our labels, and artists fans, our artists and thank them for being part of this brief journey in which we saw a way to give back to the community and empower musicians.
