awoke this morning knowing we were driving early a couple of hours to see our granddaughter run a cross country race. One of the reasons we moved to TX from CO was to be close enough to do things like this.
𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙣, 𝙩𝙤𝙙𝙖𝙮’𝙨 𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙝𝙞𝙩 𝙢𝙚. October 14. It’s your birthday Jason Lamourey. 43 years ago today, you entered this world and made me a mom.
I was listening to Pandora (Casting Crowns station) and the music that was playing!

It’s hard to believe you have been gone over 5 years now…
I am forever thankful that through all the struggles and poor choices you made, you found forgiveness and unconditional love in a personal relationship with your Savior, Jesus Christ. Today as I give thanks for having been able to be your mom, I am focused on that. 𝙄 𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙨 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙙𝙖𝙮…. Today it’s just closer to the surface.

Today I celebrate with the love of my life Greg Palka, our 11th wedding anniversary! What an 11 years it has been! We have had travel✈️ to 35 states and 4 different countries! WOW!😮

14 months ago we sold our home and moved from CO to TX! And, today we are thoroughly exhausted since we moved 5 days ago into the house we bought in June! Never have I been so tired! 😩 Well, probably, but it’s been awhile! We are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel!

We have raised teen agers, attended sporting events: football 🏈, wrestling🤼, cheer 📣 , lacrosse 🥍 had graduations👩‍🎓 , put kids through college, celebrated a son’s wedding💒, ski trips ⛷ , camping trips, ⛺️ hiking, birth of grandchildren, moves, learned to work together, financial struggles, 💰 financial successes, 💵 yard work, projects, ….. the death of a child, (something no one should go through) 💔 the death of a parent, mom moving in with us,
Dinners on the patio,🍷 morning walks, sunsets 🌅 …. All with you, Greg Palka by my side… thank you for doing life with me. Thank you for having Christ at the center of our marriage. I pray for many more happy & healthy years with you!🙏🙏🙏

We were so blessed to have had the chance to travel to San Antonio, BAMC to celebrate our daughter, 1st Lt Catherine Palka’s graduation from the Critical Care Nursing program. After a grueling 4.5 months, following a short leave, Catherine moves on to her next duty assignment at Ft Bliss in El Paso, TX.

I have friends who have been through some significant health challenges, and they weren’t going to trust just any old "thing" out there. When I advocate for myself, I am not looking for a supplement (there are lots of great ones) - I am looking for answers to get to THE ROOT cause. This Thanksgiving, I am thankful for so much. I am thankful for my Savior, my husband, my family, my life and every ONE OF YOU who I call friends!

I am thankful for memories created with loved ones.
5 years ago, we were visiting our daughters family in Albuquerque where they were living at the time. It was the last time we would see our son, Jason Lamourey. We took family pictures, mostly because I wanted some with my Mom! So thankful we captured this memory! You never know…..

Make peace with each other, love one another, break bread together, play games, give hugs, lots of hugs! Reflect along with me today, ALL we have to be thankful for!

My heart is so FULL!
When I embarked on this journey more than 13 years ago, I had no idea of the lives that would become intertwined. What IF I hadn’t been open minded? Friendships that would not have happened. 🤔 Lives that may have stayed the same. Instead, there are thousands that are able to brave the storm of this crazy economy we are experiencing & not only just survive, but actually thrive! I got to see and connect with my tribe this past weekend in Phoenix! Looking forward to New Orleans in March!

As human beings, we crave connection and community! That has become much more evident these last couple of years! It was soooo GOOD to be together in person again!

I believe when we are open and really listen that God actually forward provisions for us. There are divine appointments that happen along the way…. I bump into someone I haven’t seen in years, my Lyft driver seems like an old friend & there is immediate connection.

If you know me, you know I have been passionate about health for a LONG time!
I have been "Activated" for over13 years now. So, my health and immune system are strong!💪 I qualify for the BEST life insurance premiums.💲

✔️I thought I was doing "everything" right...
✔️I ate fairly well/healthy 🥗
✔️I have been a little hit and miss on exercise over the years, but am definitely not sedentary!

However, you don't know what you don't know. I run a muti-million dollar health and wellness business. I am 61 years old. I wanted people to see me and think Dang girl! How do you do it? There must be something I am missing. 🤔

A few months ago, some close friends of ours told us they were doing something called a Metabolic Reset. We were curious. We found out, it was more than about weight loss, but a whole way of life. It was a RESET physically, but mentally as well. Our friends put us in touch with Miranda Sommer, founder of this Metabolic Reset. Could this be the missing piece? Is this what I was unknowingly searching for?

I have had many of the answers and have been sharing those, but now I have found the missing puzzle piece🧩and it is the cherry on top!🍒

Happy birthday Dad! 🎉You would have been 85 years old today… It’s hard to believe you’ve been gone almost 4 years already. I’m actually here with Carolynn Littleton today. We are remembering you and will share a toast in your memory! 🥂
Thanks for giving me a love for water and adventure! Got to start the process of teaching your great-grandchildren to ski last month. You would have been so proud of them!❤️

My dad was loved by everyone who knew him! He retired after 32 years as a captain with American Airlines…
