Idris Elba, one of Africa's most famous actors, has teamed up with media mogul Mo Abudu to help nurture African film and television talent. The duo is set to launch a new initiative that will focus on providing training and mentorship to aspiring filmmakers and actors across the continent.

The initiative, which is set to be called the Africa Cinematic Academy, is aimed at developing African talent to compete globally with Hollywood and other international film industries. Mo Abudu is the founder and CEO of EbonyLife Media, a multimedia company which has played a vital role in changing the African media landscape with its critically acclaimed films and TV shows.
