William Knibb student gets 4 years, 10 months for killing schoolmate
The male William Knibb Memorial High School student who was charged with the March 21 stabbing death of 16-year-old fellow student Khamal Hall has been sentenced to four years and 10 months in prison.

Gunmen Rob Manchester Gas station, held hostages !!
Police are probing the scene of an armed robbery at a gas station in Knockpatrick, Manchester, on Tuesday evening.
Preliminary reports are that about 6:00 pm, five gunmen held up the establishment. During the robbery, pump attendants were reportedly held hostage.
Two female students at the Muschett High School in Trelawny have been suspended after a fight in which one was stabbed and injured.
The incident happened on Monday and the police are to speak with the parent of both students later Wednesday.
One of the girls was stabbed in the face and arm during the fight. The other girl was taken into police custody and later released to her parents.
At approximately 2:25 pm this afternoon, a car travelling along the Michael Manley Boulevard in the direction of downtown Kingston overturned into the sea.
The incident occurred in the vicinity of the Manley Meadows housing scheme. OBSERVER ONLINE understands that four people, including two children, were in the ill-fated vehicle at the time of the accident.
They were rushed to hospital.
Their conditions are not known at this time.
There is a pall of gloom over the Christina Meadows community in Portmore, St Catherine following the brutal slaying of a couple, allegedly at the hands of their son, on Friday morning.
The incident is said to have occurred at 4 am. It is alleged that the son stabbed his parents to death.

The police thwarted an attempted robbery on Red Hills road this afternoon. Deputy Superintendent of the St Andrew North Division, Collin Millaneise says the short chase came to an end when the robber was knocked off his bike with a patrol car.

Police investigators are processing crime scenes in Portmore, St Catherine after a man allegedly killed his mother and stole a motor vehicle before he was shot and killed by a security guard on Tuesday morning.

The aunt of Constable Orlando Irons, who died in Monday morning's three-vehicle collision along the Bog Walk bypass in St Catherine, has expressed deep sadness at her nephew's tragic passing.
"He was a great person," Marcia Wilson told.
"Everybody have dem issues but you don't know his issues, because he is such a great person," she said, noting that the late cop was close to his family members.
Wilson explained that she had a look at her nephew at the Spanish Town Hospital before he was removed to the morgue.
