This past week, our dear friend Logan Edwards went home to be with the Lord.

A video editor for WORLD Watch, he crafted many of the stories you saw over the past 2 years.

Logan was an outstanding friend, coworker, brother, son, fiancé and much more.

Though we're grieved by his departure, we trust that the purpose of the Lord still stands and we rejoice at the thought of Logan at home with his Creator.

Our studio there, is not. Which is why most of our crew is out here in Charlotte this week. We'll be working out here indefinitely as our company navigates the next steps for recovery.

As many of you know, one of two WORLD Watch studios is in Asheville, NC. This past week, Asheville suffered severe flooding due to Hurricane Helene resulting in stranded citizens, mass power outages, and limited/no cell service.

For the time being, we plan on producing a truncated version of the program with our skeleton staff. In the meantime, please pray for all those affected.

We will keep you updated as things change. And remember, whatever the news, the purpose of the Lord will stand.

Should public colleges require students to take US civics?

In North Carolina, lawmakers introduced the REACH Act last year, which mandates students at community and public universities to take a class in American history or government.
