The important thing is to always write down the scene/idea, even if it doesn't initially come out as you wanted. You can always edit, rewrite, and adjust what you've worked on, but if you let the idea disappear altogether, you may have just missed out on something great! ✍️ Happy Monday, everyone! 😊

Happy Monday! As writers, we all understand it's about the quality of the words, not the quantity. But we can understand the feeling of diving deep into a piece of writing for many hours, feeling like you've completed nearly you're entire work, when maybe it's only a few paragraphs that you'll end up using (and the subsequent reaction). 😂

Our Story

Doujin Press is a support, learning, and inspiration site for prospective authors (we’re not nursing any preconceptions or elitist ideals here; if you’re already published, that’s great, but if you’re not, that’s fine, too...we consider you a writer as long as you write; having been published is just icing on the cake as far as we’re concerned - definitely “icing” that we’re all shooting for, but we certainly don’t consider it a prerequisite around here!) with a certain emphasis on self-publishing (but we don’t harbor any prejudices toward more traditional publishing options, either...any way that you can get your work in front of the eyes of readers is cool with us).

According to Wikipedia:

“Dōjin, often romanized as doujin, is a general Japanese term for a group of people or friends who share an interest, activity, hobbies, or achievement...In Japan, the term is used to refer to amateur self-published works.”

There seems to have been a little misunderstanding in the past due to our choice of name (sorry), but for the record, this is the definition of the word we intended. Many people use the words doujin and/or dōjin to refer specifically to Japanese-made fan comic books, however, this is only one possible definition. We sincerely apologize for any confusion.
