California Air National Guard, 144th Fighter Wing F-15C Eagle rests on the ramp at Fort Worth Alliance on its way over to Louisiana for a few weeks. This jet is painted with a Heritage scheme and dons the Air Force Anniversary insignia, 144th FW patch and the California State Guard shield on the tail. Hands down the most beautiful Eagle I have ever seen!

On our first day of William Tell 2023, we heard an inbound aircraft call up as "SWEDE31". Knowing we hadn't heard that callsign all day, we got excited and awaited the inbound aircraft. We were surprised with a missed approach from an F-35B (with a gun pod!) from VMFAT-501 based at MCAS Beaufort. My first time seeing one with a gun pod fitted. Cool stuff!

What a place to be on 9/11 and getting to see this livery. We all just sat and talked about it. Never forget this day in history.

Lucky catch! When I was on the flight line last month for Ben's final flight, I got to snag an E-2D Hawkeye from the CVW-2/VAW-113 "Black Eagles" taxi behind the F-18 canopies. The "D" model is the most advanced model of the E-2. Not something you see often around here!

I sure do miss all of the that I used to get to do, but life and things get in the way and it's just so expensive right now. This has been the closest thing to flying for me that I can find on the ground and has been some of the most relaxing and best head clearing moments since. The freedom of the open road is amazing πŸ€™πŸΌ

Branched off and decided to make a new IG to keep political, survival/offgrid, news, world events, etc out of this account. It was really taking over my Aviation content. Fun visiting Olney Municipal after breakfast this morning and getting to walk around some brand new Air Tractor 502XP’s that were sitting on the ramp. Riding a motorcycle is definitely not the same as flying, but it’s the closest to flying you can get while on the ground and currently WAY cheaper and affordable. I’ll take what I can get πŸ€“
