So Governor El-Rufai was invited to be on a panel at the Annual General Meeting of the Nigerian Bar Association, and then had his invitation withdrawn after much uproar. But why was his invitation so contentious? What does it mean going forward - for him, for the NBA, and for Nigerian politicians as a whole?

I also discuss the haphazard approach to policymaking in Nigeria where the stakeholders in the sector the policies and regulations are made for are not involved.

On the maiden episode of the podcast, I discuss the surprising announcement by Shoprite that it is exiting the Nigerian market, focusing on the whys and the impacts of it. I also talk about the recurring killings in Southern Kaduna and why internal security challenges will persist until certain things change; and I threw in a rather ugly trend of government agencies and officials openly clashing on social media.
