What are you doing in your garden this weekend?
Knowing what to do is important. Knowing *when* to do it is even more important. Local knowledge is such a huge part of getting your garden off on a successful path. To that end, what are some of our New Brunswick gardening experts doing this weekend starting May 29.
Karen Rogers
Moving plants around garden and dividing to fill in spots. Completed first pollinator garden for Dr Suzuki Butterflyway Project. Watering greens, kale and bush peas. Hardening off tomatoes, herbs and flowers.
Mario Doiron
Spreading compost and prepping garden beds for first plantings of carrots, corn, beans and northern delight tomatoes. Planting more fruit trees and mulching around established bushes with cardboard and sawdust and then pruning dead wood now that I can see which branches leaf out or not.
Alicia Clarkson
Garden Coordinator PMC Community Garden

Also building trellises and caring for our long season plants that are already up and growing (potatoes, onions and garlic)
Bernadette Goguen
