“The Art of Letting Go"

In the grand adventure of life, how often do we, as parents, hold tight to the reins, wrapping our children in cocoons of caution and concern? 🙋🏻‍♀️

Guided by love and a desire to shield them from adversity, we may inadvertently clip their wings of exploration and their hunger for discovery, thus robbing them of the chance to experience their true capabilities.

Imagine instead, a parenting philosophy rooted in trust and the courage to progressively release control, to gradually undo the clasps of caution, and allow them the freedom to explore, stumble, and ultimately, soar. The world is a magnificent teacher; it allows our children not just to observe its vast expanse, but to also navigate its complexities and curiosities on their own terms. Remember your own childhood?

Adapting to this kind of parenting doesn't mean diminishing our roles as protectors and guides. Instead, it means empowering our children to progressively steer the wheel of their own ship. With each wave they tackle solo, confidence grows and self-esteem strengthens.

As for us? Our journey of living on the road has redefined parenting. Through the eyes of our children, we've rediscovered the world anew, realising that by loosening our viselike control, we're not abandoning them; we're equipping them to live their most vibrant lives.

This journey will require patience and plenty of deep breaths, but remember: an over-sheltered tree never learns to brave the storm. Allow your child to dance in the wind, learn from the rain, and find their sunshine. It's in these moments of exploration and enlightenment that they'll truly begin to flourish. Here's to embracing life's grand adventure—happy, fearless, and unbridled!

The increasing cost of living is a growing concern for many households. As prices for essential items such as electricity bills, groceries, and rent continue to rise, it can feel like one's budget is being stretched to its limits. This can be particularly challenging if your 9-5 job does not keep up with the cost increases.

One way to combat these challenges is to explore alternative sources of income. A couple of years, we decided to take the leap and move away from an earnings structure that was capped. We invested time in learning new skills and opened our minds to the possibilities presented by an online business.

Through our online business, we have learnt and dived into the potential for uncapped earnings.

Shhhhh, we have the secret. 📱💻

How do families do it? How do they travel full time or figure out the magic formula to escape the rat race all together or at least have an extended break away from it?

And let’s make this clear - I don’t mean the families who have sold everything they own to hit the road. I mean the ones that are actually producing an income online whilst they live their best life by design.

We still have our family home. We still have a mortgage. We still have both of ours cars and all of our belongings.

At first, I was nervous to spend every day with my husband - quitting our jobs and embarking on a new adventure together was a big change.

But as we travelled Australia and worked on our online business, we realized that what we thought were normal arguments (back at home working our 9-5) was actually just the pressure of societal expectations weighing on us.

Now that we've thrown those expectations out the window, we yearn for a more simple life and have made our marriage our number one priority. We're no longer restricted by a weekly routine and have found a beautiful transition as a family.

There are no arguments anymore (yet) and only a newfound love and appreciation for each other.

We don't plan on returning to the "norm" any time soon, and it feels incredibly liberating. 🤍

Here we are, on a Monday afternoon, enjoying the fresh air and our kids laughing at this epic playground. As we work from a nearby park bench, we can't help but marvel at the freedom that working online has afforded us.

No longer are we stuck to a rigid 9-5 schedule, counting down the hours until we can clock out and go home. Instead, we've found a way to incorporate our work into our daily lives in a way that suits us and our families. We don't have to miss out on the precious moments and milestones that our children experience - we can be there for them, even as we get our work done.

And the best part? We don't have to sacrifice our own needs and desires in order to meet the demands of the workplace. No more racing around on our lunch breaks, trying to squeeze in errands and appointments. When we work online, we have the flexibility to structure our time in a way that makes the most sense for us.

It's an amazing feeling, this sense of liberation that comes with working from anywhere, at any time. We feel truly grateful for the opportunities that this lifestyle has given us, and we're constantly curious about where it will take us next.
