The Des Moines date for Elton John's "Farewell Yellow Brick Road" tour, originally set for June 11, finally has been rescheduled for March 26, 2022. As in almost a year and a half from now. Tickets sold for the canceled June show will be honored at the rescheduled appearance at Wells Fargo Arena. The Iowa Events Center's website

says there also are still some single tickets available at prices ranging from $124.50 to $224.50. Additional information will be announced at a later date. In a statement on Facebook, John said the tour will resume in fall 2021 in Europe.

“I’ve been enjoying my time at home with the family while the world navigates its way through the COVID pandemic," he said. "But, I really miss being on the road and performing for my beloved fans in my Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour. ... While the scientists are making great progress, we are making big plans for a return to touring that will allow us to ensure the health and safety of everyone."
