Your valley ≠ your ending.
We know that God has purpose, even in our valley seasons. Here are 3 truths He taught me when I was there ⬇️
1️⃣ There’s life in the valley 🌿
Fun fact about me: I am sooo bad at geography 😂but I recently learned that geographically speaking, when there are valleys present in nature, they are often accompanied by rivers or streams. So what am I saying? Even when we feel like we’re at our lowest, there is still life. John 10:10 tells us that Jesus came so that we could have abundant life. And even when it feels like we are knocking on death's door, whether mentally, emotionally, or physically, we know that there is still life in our low places.
2️⃣ Depending on God is non-negotiable 🙌
Okay I know I know, you would think this one would be a no brainer, right? But when it felt like everything was on fire—my body, my mind, my emotions—I wanted to take control . But the humbling fact of the matter is, I never had it in the first place. When my body failed me, I had no choice but to put all my faith and hope in God. I’ve learned that sometimes God will allow us to walk right into valley seasons just to remind us of these truths: HE is our source. HE is in control.
3️⃣ Valley ≠ Abandoned 💔➡️❤️
Wheww when I tell you this is the one right here‼️So many nights in the hospital, I asked God, “Why did You leave me here?”. The enemy wants us to think that God has abandoned us. That He has left us to die in our valleys. But, Psalm 34:18 tells us God is close to the brokenhearted. Every tear I cried, every time I felt broken beyond repair—He was near. The valley isn’t proof of abandonment. It’s proof of His nearness.
💌 If you’re walking through your own valley, hear me: this season isn’t your whole story. There is life. There is purpose. And God is faithful—I’m living proof 💖
