Job Description
SUMMARY

A bookkeeper is responsible for handling bank reconciliations, posting bank entries on a daily basis, contacting bank for any queries on transactions and providing inventory support. He/she will also be responsible in handling clerical/administrative tasks like data entry, maintaining files updated and preparing correspondences and reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES
>Maintaining the books of the company
>Analyze and review general ledger posting of financial information
>Create and post journal entries and adjusting entries
>Monitor and prepare Cash Flow Statement
>Maintain a systematic record of financial files
>Monitoring of Account Receivables and Account Payables
>Prepare entries and ensure the accurate recording of revenues, expenses, adjustments, etc.
>Calculate, prepare and issue bills, invoices, account statements and other financial statements according to established procedures
>Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data in order to compile and keep financial records, using journals and ledgers
>Reconcile and report discrepancies found in records
>Prepare and summarize monthly reports
>Any other task/duty as directed by client/management

QUALIFICATIONS

>Must possess at least a Bachelor's/College degree in Accountancy/ Finance/Banking/ Administration Management or equivalent
>Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience in the BPO industry
>Has a strong background in accounting systems and software MYOB, Quickbooks, Xero/Navision, or SAP
>Strong grasp of bookkeeping functions and generally accepted accounting principles
>Proficient in using MS Office with an advance understanding of MS Excel including
>Functions/Formulas, Pivot Tables and V Lookups
>Must be trustworthy and able to maintain confidentiality at all times
>Outstanding ability to multi-task and to successfully work under pressure or tight deadlines
>Highly organized, detail-oriented, analytical, assertive and motivated
>Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent interpersonal skills
>Must have experience in Australian client background
>Candidates must be amenable to work onsite in BGC in a Dayshift schedule

Work you’ll do

>Demonstrate expertise in Philippines Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and related financial reporting matters as well as expertise in relevant SEC, BIR, BSP, and IC regulations and compliance/reportorial requirements;

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor of Science in Accountancy

Work Experience: Preferably with experience in external (preferred) or internal audit experience, preferably in the banking or insurance industry. Fresh Accountancy graduates are welcome to apply.

Certifications: Preferably a Certified Public Accountant.

Competencies:
Extensive experience in auditing life insurance companies/banking sector in the Philippines
Exposure in PFRS 9, Financial Instruments, PFRS 4 / 17 - Insurance Contracts
Understands basic Insurance underwriting business process


Other Qualifications.
Strong analytical skills;

ABOUT THE JOB

Financial Analyst with experience in annual budgets, quarterly/monthly forecasts, financial models and analysis. P&L reporting with variance analysis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Responsible for the submission of monthly Revenue and COGS -Forecast by Division. Making sure to understand, identify and communicate any changes compare to prior month’s data and plan.
-Analyze and track Maintenance Revenue and COGS numbers, metrics and build analyses based on the assumptions.
-Help with the annual Maintenance Revenue and COGS planning and budgeting.
-Assists with Compensation tasks and reporting such as Comp Planning, Weekly CRM tracking for the Revenue Expansion Results and answering queries from SSMs and VPs regarding their Comp.
-Recommend areas of improvement, as well as participate in accounting projects and other departments, to automate and streamline processes and systems.
- Assist with any other ad hoc requests/queries

What You Will Need

-Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or other Business-related field.
-Excellent communication (verbal and writing) and interpersonal skills.
-Experience working with the general ledger and chart of accounts for variance analysis.
-High level of computer literacy including report writing experience and must have advanced proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
-Strong analytical skills
-Ability to quickly learn and understand financial processes
Detail-oriented
-Ability to work independently and interdependently.
-Ability to work across multiple time zones and adherence to tight reporting timelines.

What Will Put You Ahead?

-Preferably 2 years of experience with budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis of financial data
-Previous work experience in a Shared Service industry especially in a Global Enterprise software company is advantageous.
