Welp. Scratch that. Seems like the moment I went live, the potato laptop decided to give up entirely. The thing wouldn't turn on anymore despite being charged!

And I thought the laptop has officially revived. Sigh. Well, seems like I am not ready for a comeback. Sorry.

I feel totally salty right now that said laptop does not work anymore. That means I have to extend my hiatus until I get a totally working PC. I guess I have to grind more IRL to continue at this point.

Good day.

Sorry if I am making an announcement like this, but with my current circumstances, I can only do it this way.

*With a heavy heart, I announce that Arzt von Gurvionne will undergo a long-time, possibly indefinite hiatus.*

You may already saw this coming after a report of my microphone giving up, leading to my streaming break announcement last month. While I have bought a new one already and I was planning to test things out, a worse problem arise: the potato laptop I am using for years for both gaming and streaming is showing signs of retirement anytime soon.

The laptop has been constantly freezing every few minutes that it renders it unusable. Further tests suggest the issue revolves around the GPU and the cooling fan system malfunctioning. It maybe is just a software issue and it requires reformatting to get it fully operational, but I believe it is just a band-aid solution and it will occur again soon. I am under the assumption that the root cause of this is that the hardware is now reaching its limits.

The best solution I could think of is to upgrade into a decent desktop rig. However, with me just being a month from my new job and recovering from debt due to my prior months of unemployment, upgrading is easier said than done. Even the phone I am using is an old, hand-me-down phone that has sustained damage already.

After careful consideration of the circumstances, I believe it would be best for me to temporarily cease my streaming activities for the meantime while I focus on saving up for new, better equipment. This may take a year or more even to pull off, but I am determined to make it happen.

Thank you for your understanding. The plague doctor will be out of the Haus for long. Until then, this is Plague Doctor Arzt, signing out.
