I have to say, I am really proud of this song. “Guess It Must Be Gospel” is about going back to the area where I grew up and feeling estranged from it. There’s a lot of my story in this song, and also a lot to relate to.

2023 in Morbid Instinct releases:

This year, we released the full length album We Could Have Been Wives by , featuring 14 original love songs. We released a compilation of songs by called Doomwave, as well as their heaviest release yet: Hellmancer, featuring the titular single and the dystopian “Apples.” We also debuted new music by Jack & Debbie, with the singles “Sunshine” and the magnetic break-up anthem, “Anything You Say.” Finally, .amos.holloway released 5 songs in 2023, including three covers and two originals, “Good Luck Prayin’ that It Won’t Rain,” and “Year in Review.”
