At Lazy Women, we have firsthand experience of what it truly means to be governed by a party that prioritizes national “order” and “patriotism” as core values.

Through our “Making it in Western Europe” podcast series, we have seen how many young women have been forced to flee to the West, away from countries where the far-right allies of Bardella have either risen to power or gained popularity, threatening their hard-won rights and freedoms.

Taking a quick look into RN’s historical positions and its voting behavior, the situation becomes painfully clear: a far-right government led by Jordan Bardella as French Prime Minister would pose an undeniable threat to women, marginalized groups, and immigrant minorities not only in France but all over Europe. Here's why 👇

The risk of a far-right victory more likely than ever. Here's why this should matter to the women of Eastern Europe.

🇫🇷 The viable risk of France’s far-right rising to power is a wake-up call for the whole of Europe.

✍️In the new piece our lazy Frosso recaps the Rassemblement National (RN) popularity revival, extreme rhetoric, and influence in the EU and Eastern Europe.

🫥Turns out, Jordan Bardella’s surge in popularity was largely driven by WOMEN, with more than 30% of them voting for the RN party.

🗯What’s the RN's potential influence in the EU?

🗳️🇪🇺 The missing highlights of the hashtag 2024 Elections in Central and Eastern Europe.

📰 As mainstream media focuses on major (bad) news of EU elections in the West, our Lazy Effrosyni Papanastasiou gathers some less-covered outcomes in Central and Eastern Europe.

💭 What topics do you wish were more prominent in mainstream news on EU Elections?
💭 What factors are influencing such low voter turnout?
💭 Do any of the newcomers have the potential to tackle the resurgence of the far-right in the region?

🔍 And most importantly, what do we do next?

Share your thoughts in the comments below🌟 And spread the word to keep women's, LGBTQIAP+’s, and marginalised groups’ rights on top of the agenda!✊

🏄‍♀️ As Lazy Women strive for a new way of doing media, catch up with Zsofi’s day representing, learning and meeting likeminded organizations at the ‘Designing Europe’s Media for All’ event by European Lab & The Circle.

How did it go? ✍️ Ask Zsofi Borsi :

“ What a day! I began by presenting Lazy Women (in French🇫🇷!) to an auditorium full of people, including representatives from Radio France and ARTE.

Then, a speed-meeting where anyone could book a slot with Lazy Women - where two amazing Lazies joined me, Selin Bucak & Frosso. For the two hours, we were fully booked, and had fascinating meetings with many media industry professionals doing inspiring work, such as ✨ The Europeans & Omaro Productions.

In the evening, I had the chance to present our new podcast series « Making it in Western Europe » on a panel discussion about independent European podcasts, and we shared a deep convo about podcasts as an accessible medium.

All in all, a day full of meeting inspiring folks from all over the world - to be continued shortly! ” 😌

🤔 How to turn your passion project into a real independent media? This is something we ask ourselves at Lazy Women every day, and the truth is, it's still a work in progress. 📈

💡 However, we are learning incredibly important lessons along the way, some of which our founder Zsofi Borsi shared in a recent interview with The Fix Media.

Give it a read and let us know what you think! ⤵

We asked four media managers how they turned their passion projects into working ones – and what they wished they had known before starting.
