Episode 60 of Out of Touchstone is now available! Disney gave us a different side of Steve Martin in September 1994, as he plays a recluse who adopts a young girl in Touchstone’s A SIMPLE TWIST OF FATE. Both .dekalb and enjoyed Martin’s performance, but felt the third act sank the film. But the co-hosts were both thoroughly impressed with the offerings from Hollywood Pictures that month: awards darling QUIZ SHOW, and the action-packed TERMINAL VELOCITY. Episode 59 of Out of Touchstone is now available! Disney dropped four misfires in August 1994, “highlighted” by Touchstone’s IT’S PAT: THE MOVIE. Unsurprisingly, .dekalb and have little to nothing positive to say about the film. After that, the co-hosts turn to three releases from Hollywood Pictures: the Pauly Shore vehicle IN THE ARMY NOW, the erotic thriller COLOR OF NIGHT, and the pleasant and underrated gem CAMP NOWHERE. Episode 58 of Out of Touchstone is now available! It's now the Summer of 1994 and Disney has both a huge hit and a minor success at the box office - but sadly, neither of those came from Touchstone. As a result, .dekalb and get to do their customary deep dive into I LOVE TROUBLE, a film mostly remembered for the behind-the-scenes squabbles between its two stars, Nick Nolte and Julia Roberts. From there, the co-hosts focus on the two summer triumphs from Walt Disney Pictures: THE LION KING and ANGELS IN THE OUTFIELD.
