Dear Victorian Taxpayer,
How would you like to get a job, work for 7 years at around $150,000 per year, and then be able to retire with an annual tax free pension of $60,000 (effective salary of $100,000) never to have to work again?
This is what our politicians are able to do. Case in point:
MR ANDREW OLEXANDER (MLC, Liberal). Elected into the Victorian Parliament in 1999 (upper house seat of Silvan), retired in 2006 (did not re-contest seat).
Even though the Parliamentary rules state that he was not entitled to a pension until he had served 8 years, the superannuation trustees granted him this perk due to "ill health".
During his time in Parliament, he left the following legacy:
a) He caused public scandal by wrecking as many as four cars in a booze fuelled rampage demolition derby in his taxpayer funded vehicle, causing him to later lose his drivers' licence and preselection;
b) He publicly advocated against , yet blew a 0.129 BAC at the Alfred Hospital after the Port Melbourne crash.
c) He contested a preselection after the scandal and got less than 10% of the preselectors' votes, which he falsely blamed on ;
d) He has been dragged to court and found guilty of on Citilink and non-payment of parking fines;
e) He falsely accused senior members of the Liberal party of ;
f) He allegedly failed to open his Olinda MP's electorate office for weeks on end;
g) He employed his lover at the time (who'd been married for 27 years until his wife learned of the affair), on the parliamentary payroll as an electorate officer even though his lover was also working as a teacher at the time and ran a dairy farm. He has since busted up with this lover and taken out an intervention order against him;
h) He put his hand out to collect these millions of dollars worth of despite publicly pledging not to do so. He claimed he was in poor health - we allege this was all a con.
7 years worth of "work" (if you can call it that) between the ages of 34 and 40, and now we are paying his $60,000p.a. parliamentary . On, and on it goes. 14 years now, and the cash keeps coming, flowing out from YOUR HARD WORK and TAXES.
Today, Mr Olexander sits on Facebook and writes defamatory hate speech on multiple pages he runs. He pays Facebook to promote these posts with YOUR money. He is not "too ill" to sit on his home computer. He does this while laughing at YOU - the Victorian taxpayer.
Do you think this is all a huge ? Do you think this pension should be cancelled? Do you think he should be made to find another job like all other people would have to? If so, share this so more people can become aware of this Mr is riding on.
